To find a green oasis just off the beaten track towards the Channel Tunnel was like a miracle. Stress levels from the long journey on the autoroute reduced immediately. Everything here is welcoming and comfortable . We had the "Hortensia" room in the eaves of an adjoining barn, very attractively decorated with limed beams and soothing, interesting artwork. Everything worked...

We spent a couple of nights here before returning to the UK. The owners are super and the breakfast homemade and tasty. Our room was very comfortable and we loved being able to sit in the garden and eat our own lunch or picnic when it suited. We will definitely stay here again

I checked in here for one night on the 13th September and was shown a room up some very steep stairs in the main house and a room "Coquelicot" in the cottage in the grounds. I opted for the cottage as it seemed peaceful, albeit very shabby and a bit dirty (cobwebs and dirty bathroom). I then visited the local...

La Manoir is in a rural location but easy to find, as it's just a 5 minute cycle ride from Ardres. Thierry & Francois are very welcoming (speaking English, which was a relief as our French is embarrassingly awful!). La Manoir is peaceful and pretty. Our room was comfortable. We had a good breakfast with great jam! We will be...

Stayed with Thierry and Francoise for a weekend break. Beautiful setting, you'd believe it just a few miles from Calais! Light, airey rooms, lovely artwork, gardens to enjoy. Breakfast includes their homemade jams and other items... yum!! Some good restaurants also nearby for an evening meal.... definitely worth stopping by for a day or two 😊

Whilst many people visit this beautiful B&B en route to or from a destination further south, we love it so much that we go back every year for the Bastille Day celebrations. We love the torchlight parade through the village on 13th, the fireworks by the lake on 14th, and the massive Brocante in Houlle on 15th, where you can...

this former farm, seemingly in the middle of nowhere, is perfect when travelling to or from the UK to France, as it's about 20 minutes from the ferry port or tunnel. We got a fairly friendly welcome from a man who spoke good english, were told a little of the place's history and showed to our bamboo themed room. It...
