We had all the family staying and some guests. Senhora Maria's family could not have been more helpful and accommodating. We had the after wedding brunch on the Sunday in the restaurant. It was superb. This is our 5th stay and we hope the friends we introduced to this region will return too. Bertha's piglets were the stars!

Excellent location. The lady that runs Palazzo Illica is wonderful. We spent only one night but our son loved it. Wonderful sunset over the sunflower field. On the property there are many different kind of animals which was a lot of fun. Castell Arquato is only a 5 minute drive.

Dear Alenka, many thank's for your feedback: our goal is your satisfaction! The Podere is placed in fields, with sunflowers during the summer and wheat during the winter and the spring. Wineyards and olives threes plants are the most beatiful view that you have from the rooms of Podere. The landscape of Emilia Romagna region is really typical and suggestive.... More

Seemed like a lovely old palazzo to stay for a few days... NO! Towels maybe belonged to owner's granparents, so thin, not at all soft. Bed was lumpy, how and when was the matress made? Could hear people next door, people upstais, workers at 8am. A request for a second large towel was questioned. Opening the narrow double doors to... More

We needed a room for the night while driving through beautiful Tuscany and found this gem, run by a lovely lady. She received us, took us to our suite and suggested a restaurant for the evening. The suite was huge and well equipped and we slept very well that night. In the morning we had breakfast and also had a... More

We stayed for our third year for the Vernasca Hill climb. Plenty of room for our tow car and trailer and a really lovely welcome from Señora Maria. A great location, with lovly natural surroundings. Marica, Silvano and Gisella will treat you like their own. The rooms are spatious and cozy and if you take a look around the establishment you will find a beutiful library, home for diverse cultural workshops, and very many symbols of the deep culture this family shares.
