First of all, the staff are really lovely and helpful, especially Monika who served us regularly. Rather than carry on into Interlaken, we decided to try our luck here because of the views which are outstanding. The room was fabulous on the top floor of the main building. It's so quiet however, if you find church bells a distraction, then...

Arrived on a hot Thursday and walked approximately 15 minutes to the hotel which is situated on the opposite side of town to the railway station. Check in was pleasant and straightforward and we were given a discount card to use as we where staying over 3 nights. Our rate included breakfast which is taken at the restaurant opposite the...

We had a superior room at the back of the hotel over looking swiss chalets and the mountains. the room was very spacious with TV, settee, chairs, wardrobe and two single beds pushed together. We had a large balcony. All the hotel was very clean with daily room service. We had a bathroom with a bath and shower but friends...

Stayed in a 2 bedroom/bath, living room with balcony suite on top floor for several days. Located near a gorgeous church and a short walk to both train stops in Brienz, ferry stop and bus stop. Walked across street to hotel restaurant/lobby for breakfast. Town is small and lovely...the road less travelled.

A beautiful room, decorated with wood, a quite spacious balcony with view to the mountains, beautiful houses and a fall. All green and so calm. The bed are very comfortable, the bathroom is spacious and everything is very clean. It's true that you can hear the church bell every 15 minutes but when the balcony door is closed, you don't...

We had a room on the top floor, It was quite large, and had a small balcony with a fabulous view of the lake. Bathroom in this suite was good sized, with a nice shower. The mattress was maybe a little more firm than I like, but the bed was comfortable enough. I'm not crazy about the fuzzy fitted sheet...I...

View of the turquoise Lake Brienz on one side, and rocky cliffs (with waterfall of course) on the other side, the surrounding scenery is just spectacular. Room is just so-so with old furniture and church bell keeps waking me up at night. Decent breakfast. Overpriced for a Swiss B&B

We selected this hotel last year because Brienz is very close to the open air museum of Ballenberg. Because of terrible weather conditions we cancelled the morning of the day we were supposed to arrive and the hotel kindly allowed us to hold over the credit to this year. So we finally made it to the Brienzerburli last weekend and...

“Warning to those of you who like to go to bed early in peaceful quiet, try to get a room on the other side of the hotel because even on the 3rd floor and all windows closed it would be quite noisy on a warm summer's evening. Take your own pillow if, like me, you dislike fluffy feather pillows which reduce to nothing as soon as you lie down - this goes for most hotels in the region.”
