While looking for a last-minute vacation with the family, I came across Valbella Resort. Not a slightest idea of where and how it is but believing in a hunch that this might be the perfect place, we embarked the two hour drive from Zurich and deep into the Swiss mountains of Graubunden. The road to Valbella is beautiful. We were warmly welcome to our spacious penthouse suite. What awaits us outside is plenty of temptations to do something fun with our kids from mini-golf to table tennis. Lovely indoor family swimming pools stand next to a spacious playroom equipped everything from legos to junping room. My younger one is so eager to return to his favorite place in the resort. There was definitely no crying kids desperately wanting to hold on to the parents there. The issue is also the victim of its success. When there were too many rowdy kids, it can be unpleasant for smaller kids. The breakfast buffet was rich and spoiled you with lots of excellent choices. The pictures themselves spoke for the gourmet dinner. Impeccable service was duly noted. When I pointed out some issues with one dish, the owner himself took it in his hand and resolved it in the most elegant way. I don’t want to bore you with more details but rather encourage you to discover this lovely resort for you and your family.

Closing one of the two restaurants while having a large group is a joke. we were put on a table for two next to the groups way to the buffet. the 3rd chair was in the middle of the hallway. we paid 750 for the room and would expect either proper information so that we can choose a restaurant outside or a proper table that fits 3 guest. this last evening destroyed our entire weekend and we are sure to find a hotel that is able to care about guest before groups.

Dear guest, Thank you very much for your review and the feedback. We are very unhappy to hear, that the experience you made on the last day at the restaurant had such an effort on your stay. Of court we understand your point of view. Much to our regret, we did not have the chance to talk to you that certain evening to find a solution that fitted your wishes. Please feel free to ask our team for alternative options and services, next time. They are always happy to prevent a perfect stay for every single guest. Your hosts Ramona and Thomas Vogt and the team at the Valbella Inn Resort

Was here for a business ski retreat. Absolutely loved it. The hotel has a very warm atmosphère. The combination of rock and wood, give it a typical robust chalet feeling, while at the same time being super modern and cosy. I can honestly say, from all the mountain hotels I've been to, this is at least in the top 5. Staff was very friendly and helpful too. Breakfast buffet is ok, but not luxurious (i.e. no salmon). Eggs, bread, standard continental breaktfast. The Spa area is very nicely done. It's a Spa tower actually. Theres a steam room, two sauna's (one with panoramic view), a salt pealing and crushed ice cooling area, a resting area, etc. Great to relax after a day in the mountains.

Room: toiletries are missing. No room slippers. No sugar in the coffee set-up. I want to have room meal service but no menu is provided. Bed: one of the most comfortable beds i ever had in my life. Staff: they are nice and friendly. Quality: the items around is in good condition and i like the quality. Overall experience: Separate buildings is no no for me especially when it’s winter and I wish to go to the thermal swimming pool. (Especially with the asking room rates). Much needed focus on customer experiences.

Thank you very much for taking the time to review our resort. Every feedback helps us to improve our service! We are very proud you appreciated the quality of our beds so much! Regarding the amount of toiletries and the room slippers, we would like to mention that we – as a resort in grisons mountains, which to large parts is a national park – signed a carta to take special focus on responsibility to protect our environment. Therefore we do not have any single-use room slippers and only a very small amount of throwaway toiletries in the rooms anymore. Not reusable utilities at the rooms have to be disposed – used or not – for quality and hygiene reasons. The amount of waste caused by that at a resort of our size is immense. That is why we decided to sell reusable slippers for guest who did not bring their own slippers (which became very popular among our guest). Also additional toiletries items are provided on demand. We would like to apologize if this information was not given to you by our staff. We hope you understand our agreement regarding environmentally responsible behaviour. Your hosts Ramona and Thomas Vogt and the Team at the Valbella Inn Resort
