This was an unexpected gem in our Furkapass drive. We stopped for a lunch break and dined on the patio with spectacular views. Food was great. We were served by Sergio who took time explaining the menu and ensuring we were well looked after. He is a great asset to their team.

We stopped at Hotel Tiefenbach on our drive of the Furka Pass. It was the perfect place to stop. There were stunning views from the parking lot as well as the restaurant. We didn't stay the night but we did have a drink. The owner was very friendly and the room was inviting to relax in.

This is not a 5 star hotel but a very good Inn in the middle of nowhere (at least during winter time). The personnel staff is very helpful and friendly. Rooms are spacious, nicely furnished and well heated. Bathrooms are small but very practical, hot and cold water is running without interruption. If needed you can even get a hair...

We stopped there for lunch while driving on the Furka pass. We were on the 4th of September but we already had some snow and heavy fog..time for lunch, so here we go, 1 degree Celcius, let's stop and grab something to eat. We were very welcome by the staff, food was so so but warm so we enjoyed it.

Not so much availability in the menu and prices over expected!! Anyway, we knew that would not be easy in Switzerland in terms of money. The food was good as expected despite of not similar...

We were driving the passes one glorious morning from Switzerland to Northern Italy. We got hungry and stopped at this hotel for breakfast. They did not have the traditional breakfast but had a buffet for hotel guests. They offered it to us for a fee and we were happy to take it. Not much of a buffet, limited, but we...

Clean and tidy room but not very cosy. The bathroom seems like a standard unit from a discount hotel. The price was above average, which was ok given the location. All in all a pretty much standard winter/summer mountain hotel.

Parked in Realp and hiked up on wintery pass road (closed to traffic). In the morning 30 min. further up on road. Then down with snow shoes, taking short cuts through derp snow. Sleds available at hotel. Fantastic views, great service at Hotel. Ask for room with view.

Hotel Tiefenbach is very near to the highest point of the Furka Pass. Due to bad weather (rain and subsequent stone falls), the pass was closed for a day in early July just above Tiefenbach. So a perfect place to stay and enjoy the stillness that comes from spending a night at over 2100m in the middle of the clouds....
