We were 5 adults who met to celebrate my mother-in-laws birthday! The beautiful scenery is breathtaking and the renovated cottages are truly a great work of art. Unfortunately there were too many "hiccups" and faux-pas which left us very much disappointed and convinced we won't be back. My mother in law ordered in advance a meal other than the raclette,...

Dear Madam, dear Sir, Thank you for your review and I am sorry that you have not enjoyed your stay with us. I am quite surprised and disappointed to read your comments about Menrad who made the raclette since most of our guests have praised us for the hospitality he offers. Concerning the price, all our rates – rooms and...

Excellent location away from it all. Spacious rooms, very modern facilities, great views of the mountains. The original appearance of the hamlet has been preserved very well. The food is definitely not run-of-the-mill; it took a bit of getting used to.

Niched high in the mountains, a unique place to get away from all stress & obligations. Only local, biological products to buy in the hotel shop and to taste in the minimalistic but stylish restaurant. No need for tv in the room: you have spectacular views through massive bay window. Luxury bathroom. Not cheap but extraordinary!

How can you kill mushrooms? With soap. Apricots? By putting vergin oil on them and rosemary. Terrible food, very bad atmosphere, typically neoSwiss unfortunately, please change or disappear. Also, we were many, they did a square table for us as if we were on a conference!!

Just back from a two-day Business Retreat at the Montagne Alternative and it was fantastic. The idea of mixing a hotel with the locals in a tiny hamlet and converting old barns and buildings into chalets and meeting rooms works wonderfully and the concept of Getting Back to Nature is fantastic. The rooms are basic and yet elegant (in traditional...

M.A. consists of several duly restored Swiss chalets located in a beautiful surrounding. The restoration was undertaken carefully keeping the old structure of both the chalets and the village – a clear plus of M.A. by which it sets out against many other projects of such kind. However, the designers’ intentions don’t seem to be implemented everywhere: The hotel rooms...

Bare and bold is this minimalist mountain lodge set in the picturesque hamlet of Commeire, Soak up the serene atmosphere, gazing out on the inspiring mountain peaks whilst nestling in your comfy bed in one of the 17 century converted barns. Log fire and other winter warmers are being prepared for you, and you might even leave with a home...

Our wedding event at Montagne Alternative was nothing short of magical. The place exceeded our expectations and was more stunning than any website or photos could have described. And most importantly the hotel staff lives with passion for the place and embodies the hotel’s concept of sustainable living that the village represents. This concept was abundant throughout the resort from...

Commerce is a small mountain village where old wooden houses and barns have been converted to luxurious yet simple apartments without changing their external look. Both the service and food were excellent, especially breakfasts. We were not so lucky with the weather, so if you want to enjoy it, bring the weather with you.
