A big dissapointment and a bad experience! Avoid this place! you will pay for 4 stars and you’ll get : an old furnished room with an iron bed without headboard, very small shower 60x60 cm size, dirty and with mold. The table lamp is before 70’s and the air conditioning doesn’t work properly. We paid extra for a room with sea view and we’ve got a partial sea view with our room on the side of the buiding. The balcony is very smalland we couldn’t enjoy even the side view - as we had only one chair in the room. The bad covers are also very old and the overall athmosfere is cheap and low. The breakfast was served in a different location -microwaved cold eggs, plain yogurth and jams and cakes - very poor for the price paid. We never met the owner in peraon and the guy who check us in did not speack english at all. Finally, at check out we needed to pay 4 eur for turist tax....mandatory in cash. Since the only the ATM machine available is at 17 minutes away - up on the hill, you can imagine the experience! Lucky us that we stayed only for 2 days.

Arrived in Scilla but can’t access village with cars. Need to wait for 3 wheeled taxi to pickup our luggage & take to hotel which actually is in Chinalea., but beach is Scilla.walking distance about 700m away. We booked a double room with balcony & sea view. The view is breathtaking. The streets are narrow & long meandering through their homes. Very pretty. Hotel room is on 2nd floor very narrow stairs two flights room isn’t big, but comfortable. Air conditioned but our glass sliding door has missing shutters therefore very hot & bright. Bathroom tiny. I struggled. Shower very narrow & small but we managed as we enjoyed the quaintness of the little town. So pretty. Right on ocean front. Breakfast was in another building. Down the street s little up 2 or 3 flights of stairs. Hard on knees. Breakfast was basic. Pastries, toasted squares, jam, fresh cakes, orange juice & coffee/tea. Scrambled egg. Yoghurt. Beautiful town gorgeous beach. Reef shoes needed as lots of stones & pebbles. Need to book deck chairs & umbrellas as beach fills very quickly. Wonderful beach with great restaurants. Tg

Friendly service, clean rooms, fantastic panorama, rich breakfast and good internet connection. Le Piccole Grotte has good neighborhood full of bars and restaurants to meet the demands of visitors who may wish to stay longer at the bay or want to cross the ferry to Sicily.

I enjoyed everything, from the very beginning to the end. It was a wonderful room we got, with a wonderful view of the sea. We got to stay at their Locandiera, the main house a bit higher up than the Le Grotte Piccole, the owner made sure we got room right opposite the elevator so my friend who has a little trouble walking did not have to go far. The breakfast was properly Italian but when they noticed that we do not like sweet things for breakfast they have ordered breakfast with cheese and salami and dried tomatoes so it became a real nice breakfast for us. Everything worked perfectly, I have nothing to complain over. Wifi was perfect. And the staff were very friendly and helpful, as said.

Very clean and charming. Staff were wonderful though they spoke little English. The B&B is a little hard to find from the train station so map out your route ahead of time. Be prepared to walk a little bit. The breakfast was lovely. Wifi was good but a little bit spotty in the rooms. Overall would recommend to a friend :)
