My wife and I ate, on a cool evening, on the terrace litterally over the water, and eventhough we were the only guests on that Monday evening, the atmosphere was romantic, the service courteous and attentive, and the food excellent. My wife had the grilled swordfish - a simple dish with olive oil and light herbs, as it should be - and I had pasta with clams. Both dishes were excellent. The bill, including a very good "vino de la casa" came to a reasonnable 48€. While the terrace is lovely, the few tables indoors seemed stuffy and in an overly decorated room; the terrace is way better!

Stayed here four nights in July with my husband and I was very disappointed. We arrived from the station on a tuc tuc (another story) which was arranged by the hotel. The roads where the hotel is situated are not accessible by car. When we arrived at the hotel we were not greeted by the receptionist who simply asked for our passports and handed us a key. She did call someone to help with bags but my husband (aged 65) had to carry one large suitcase up a flight of stairs to the room while I wrestled with a carry- on bag. The room was dark and very odd, just about every surface littered with junk. Even an old disused television sat on a box. All sorts of nick nacks that made room cluttered. There were two small Juliet balconies overlooking the street and side sea view but the plants attached to the rail were dead and had been by the looks of it for a very long time. The railings were rusty and tired looking. The whole place is neglected and down at heel, there was a large mirror placed on one of the dining tables (waiting to be put away the entire time we were there). The breakfast was very poor. Two types of croissants, cheese and ham but no bread or tomatoes. In addition some fruit and cereal and a bit of cake and that was it. Three out of the four mornings there was no coffee as we were told the machine was broken. When I declined anything else the waitress went to the local café and brought be a cardboard container with coffee. This calls itself a 4 star hotel and it cost £150 a night and this is just not good enough. I got the impression that they are not interested in running a hotel. The owners run several other restaurants in the town and this seems completely neglected as a result. The restaurant on an outside terrace overlooking the sea looked nice but to be honest after our experience with the hotel I didn't want to chance the restaurant. One of the receptionists managed to arrange a tuc tuc to collect our bags for an early departure but he didn't turn up. The young man on duty looked half asleep in a creased shirt. He tried to organise the collection and I ended up in a filthy delivery cart with the cases while my husband walked to the port. This was very stressful as we had a train connection which we couldn't miss. The taxi at the port then charged us an extra Euro 15 because she had to wait for us. This hotel needs to sort itself out as it is in a great location but it is just not running professionally. In fact on most days there were only two other guests staying there.

We had dinner in this amazing restaurant several times. Every single time we felt like we had a perfect night! Food is simply fabulous, the taste and the attention to the details of every course is always impeccable. The staff and the owners are great and passionate people. Finally the beauty of the location is something that will always remain in your heart. We look forward for the next perfect night!

Great food, nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. My younger brother and sister were being entertained by the waiters, who wanted to take pictures with us because we were 'bella'. Overall, we had a great night here.
