Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans. The original intent was Ireland, but somehow that morphed into Westervelde, to the north of Holland. I learned of the place through a newspaper article and that old-school way of finding a place to stay is befitting for the type of hotel De Jufferen Lunsingh is. This is a place...

After a nice diner in the restaurant we stayed in the hotel. It was basic and clean but not really special. Rooms were somewhat noisy too and the shower was cramped but all in all it was ok. The breakfast was good and served with a smile. If you do not want to drive after diner, stay in the hotel,...

Nothing pretentious, just solid old-fashioned style and charm. The hotel has a room to read, for having brandy, a room with a fire burning,...

I have traveled to Holland several times for business and do whatever I can to stay at the Du Jufferen. If you like old B&Bs and quiet this is it. The original house is hundreds of years old and very well maintained with the latest of modern amenities - without extra charges for everything. The service is excellent - they...

“Best rooms probably of the second floor”

“There are "new" rooms on the end of the first floor - very bright and spacious. The older rooms have the charm of the old country inn. I will try to post pictures soon to assist you in selection your room. The entire inn is very quiet.”
