Visited this place in Dec 2016 in the midst of winter and there was snow all around. We were picked up by the hotel shuttle bus from Karuizawa JR station and it took around 90 mins from there to get to the hotel. The room was spacious by Japanese standards but looked quite datedv judging by the walls, lights and...

no regret to choose this onsen hotel, quality onsen water, helpful staff, you can spend time in onsen or ski while ski resort is attached to the hotel. you can find thick and fresh snow everyday. Hotel is aged but overall it is clean and well maintained. Experience the Tatami room if you are a foreigner, it is interesting. Remember...

Nice onsen and ski hotel. We stayed one night for a stopover and to enjoy the onsen (hot spring). Indeed a couple of nice indoor and outdoor pools with good mountains views of surrounding area. Well maintained despite age and great hospitality as you would expect from Japanese standard. Great dinner including suziyaki, shabubu and omakase (Chief selection) sets with...

Room is very comfortable and clean, above all it...

Free hotel shuttle pickup near Karuizawa train station, please make seat reservation in advance during peak season. The reception staff are friendly. Outdoor baths with scenic view is the best part of the hotel. We stayed in room at South Wing, room is spacious, twin beds with a sofa and small table. Dinner at Japanese restaurant was very average and...

This hotel has a very nice outdoor bath ( rotenburo ) with powdery-blue water, including a mixed bath that couples or families can share. For that alone I enjoyed the trip, no doubt, but don't go expecting big comfy rooms XD . At least with our deal, sleeping separately was the only option (unless you want to relive college days...
