We stayed an evening at Hotel Posada Canal Grande after flying into San Jose. Having GPS in our rental was worth it, as getting there was a little tricky. But the second you arrive it's SO worth it. Greeted by Luis, we instantly felt at home. He provided such great service and made us feel welcome. They ask you to...

This little oasis is so charming and rustic, the perfect Costa Rican experience. The grounds are stunning and the staff is excellent, in particular Heiner who took very good care of us throughout our stay. The food was exceptional, so fresh, prepared perfectly and presented beautifully. We didn't want to leave!!! I highly recommend this hotel!

We drove up the steep hill to Hotel Posada and were awarded with beautiful views, the most charming hotel and welcoming reception ever. Luis was so warm and friendly and made us feel right at home. I would say that the rooms are not luxurious, but absolutely worth the price and what it lacks in luxury it makes up for...

The grounds are lovely, and the public areas are nice and the pool area with a fine view are a big plus. The reception especially if you are PRE-PAID is not good. But once they get to know you and YOU TIP things improve. Meals and bar are limited but OK. The problem is the isolation of the place without...

Beautiful place, the swimming pool was clean and fresh, the breakfast very good and the staff very nice. We had to wait half an hour for our room but it was no big deal, we were offered a nice juice to chill by the pool in the meantime. It is so cosy and romantic, especially the outside area. A delight.

Only stayed here one night for my last night in Costa Rica. The room was large and comfortable, no ac but didn't really need it. Old colonial style place, grounds maintained quite well, has a pool that looked enticing but never got in. Pretty view from the patio, breakfast was plenty and tasty typical Tico style, would totally stay here...

So I stayed here for two nights and it is absolutely wonderful! The staff is attentive and the atmosphere is relaxing. Just an FYI though, the mattress we had was extremely firm. I am not one for a firm mattress but I didn't wake up feeling like I got hit by a bus so I guess it wasn't all that...

We are more than glad that you had a great stay, like always our staff is willing to make from your stay the most enjoyable possible. It is very like mattresses are depend on the taste of the beholder, some like firm some do not. We are conveniently located not far from San Jose down town and the international Airport....

We spent one night here prior to a return flight to Europe. And wished we'd stayed longer. The hotel is a delight - good rooms, lovely garden, excellent terrace for reading and eating. And for our visit, exceptional staff. Our advice - book and stay longer than we did and you'll be amazed.

Pleasantly surprised with Hotel Posada Grande for our first night in Costa Rica. Beautiful grounds, great view, friendly staff and delicious breakfast. Close to the airport. Great value for the price!
