We were really lucky we could stay here with only 5400JPY per night per person on discount season.
Room is clean, Hot spring and breakfast were nice, and we could enjoy Keith Haring museum (next from here) for free admission!!
This accommodation set on natural & tranquil place in Kobuchizawa area, I recommend here for couples & family.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Surrounded by mountains all around and submerged in a sea of brilliant greenness stands our Yatsugatake Lodge Atelier. Every place has a story to tell and this piece of Yamanashi countryside is no exception. Centuries ago Jomon people, the Japanese ancestors, settled and thrived on this earth brimming with energy provided by the nearby active volcano. They surely chose this place because ofits the great life force and for the same reason the famous architect Atsushi Kitagawara decided to erect here Nakamura Keith Haring Collection. The magnificent and imposing architecture of this gallery seems to fuse itself with the ground and feed on the pulsating energy of the Volcano. This gallery dedicated to keith Haring, the American artist that conquered New York in the 80's is also part of our resort and represents the unique private collection entirely dedicated to the Keith in the world. The owner saw the same type of primeval energy in Keith's works and Jomon art, thus chose Kobuchizawa as destined land for the museum. The rest of the resort, Kobuchizawa Art Village Resort and Spa developed bit by bit around the gallery, to maintain and spread the love for Art, Nature, Food and Hospitality. You can relax your body and mind in the curative hot springs of Lodge Atelier, that can be used privately by the whole family. To stay the night the Atelier offers Japanese style rooms and Western style rooms, with Yukata and obi included as amenities. The Atelier represents an affordable option with a familiar atmosphere and a warm sense of hospitality. However, for people looking for a luxury accomodation we have two splendid venue, both born from the pen of architect Kitagawara: Villa Keyforest and Hotel Keyforest. To make sure your stay does not lack anything, we also have a restaurant, Keyspring, where you can enjoy delicious hearty meals. If you are planning a longer stay, there are plenty of things to do: Japanese pottery masterclass, Tennis, Golf, Fishing and much more. ... more   less
