We had the pleasure of spending 4 nights in this beautiful lodge and loved every minute. We chose to drive from Kampala with an overnight stop in Gulu. The camp is beautifully quiet and is run by a lovely couple Suzanna and Ricardo who are both professional and caring, they run they camp extremely well in a challenging environment. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and very comfortable and the food was high quality. It was my husbands birthday whilst we were there, and we were surprised with a bush breakfast and then an evening meal with a table set out under the stars, certainly a birthday to remember. Game viewing was good, we had 4 leopard sightings during our stay, saw some male lions although the number of lions seemed low, there are many buffalo but seem to have a small amount of antelope for lion prey, some beautiful elephant herds too. The watering hole at the camp is a delight to watch throughout the day. All in all a wonderful stay.

after being there already in 2013 and 2015 we finally made it back and it was like coming home! most of the stuff is still there and it was a big "hello"!! the lodge is still in excellent condition, the food as good as ever but what we really enjoyed were these "surprise places" for breakfast and lunch..... and also the barbeque near the pool one evening! Suzane and Ricardo, the hotel manager are really doing a great job there! the game drives are in our opinion the best you can have in Uganda, sooo many animals to see! it's a long drive from Kampala but for sure worth it! we will come back but next time end of March/early April....

As soon as you arrive, you can feel this is a special place. The staff are so welcoming -you know you're in good hands. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, all with great views of wildlife and landscapes, and they are very clean and well-equipped. The food is perfect because the chef will make your requests-within reason of course, since this is a remote location and not everything is available. Plenty of options for vegetarians (me) and vegans. Kidepo is far from over-run with tourists and there's plenty of great wildlife viewing. We went on a really nice safari/ sundowner our last night-highly recommended. I don't want to name any staff names because I don't want to leave anyone out, but even with all the great things about this lodge and location, the staff make it the best experience in Africa.

Wild, wonderful, amazing views. I stayed mid December, by road via Jinja, Mbale and Moroto. Very good fast roads to Moroto, 5 hours from there to Apoka. My bedroom was large, well-equipped bathroom and pleasantly cool. Set at the edge of the property, I had game wandering past most of the time. Warthogs, giraffes, water buck, buffalo. A large herd of elephants wandered past the property on their way to a feeding area within sight of the lodge. Food - good, I was able to request options (mainly low carb). A menu was presented to me each day. Staff - wonderful, attentive, very polite and welcoming. Included activities - 2 per day, on one of these I chose a nature walk, which I strongly recommend. The guide was excellent. Two notes of caution - the paths to the rooms may be difficult fo anyone with restricted mobility, secondly the swimming pool has a minimum depth of 1.50 m, too deep for me. I sat on the steps and could not go into the main part of the pool as a non swimmer.
