We have just spent 3 nights at Mori no fairy - our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children aged 10 & 11 years) and the cottage was well suited to us. We stayed here room only and did our own catering - despite this we wish to give a big thank-you to our hostess for the delicious afternoon... More

I stayed at Yakushima Cottage Mori no fairy last weekend with my partner and it was a wonderful experience. The owners of Mori no fairy are a lovely couple, and are incredibly helpful – When we arrived they asked for our itinerary and helped us plan our trip. Even though english is not their first language, they volunteered to book... More

The place in itself is very cute and well decorated. The cottage was looking great, it's extremely clean and comfy. The decoration is very local with a beautiful cedar table some nice hand crafted furnitures. The cottage is very well located. Regarding the service, I simply have never seen such committed hosts to the wellbeing of the guests. They truly... More

The host was super nice, friendly and helpful though she can't really speak English, she was trying her best to explain everything to us. Impressive welcoming drinks and refreshment, and the fresh flowers decoration for us. There was sweet. Lots of warm and sweet things they've done for our staying in Yakushima. xx

This was such a nice place to stay in Yakushima. The owners were so lovely - when we arrived they took us through a huge book they had made of things to do/nearby restaurants/tours/swimming beaches etc. They made us the most beautiful breakfasts I've ever had which were presented so perfectly. They also brought fresh flowers into our room each... More

Excellent and we enjoyed very well, the environment is clear and delicate with owners' love. Also we hope to visit again in different seasons. If you should wake up earlier for mountain climbing, the owner can help you prepare the launch box, quite sweet!

This beautifully tranquil property, a short car or bus ride from the town of Anbo, comprises cosy cedar bungalows with sea views; an ideal base for exploring Yakushima. The accommodation is spacious and well-appointed–easily big enough for two or more people–and includes free wi-fi, a small kitchen area and a relaxing veranda. The attentive owners, Hiro and Kazu, provided wonderful,... More

Spacious clean cabin. The bathroom as usual for Japan small. The very friendly owners don't speak any languages other than Japanese but are used to dealing with foreigners. There's a small kitchen in the cabin, wifi and you can use a washing machine and dryer. There's only 1 restaurant in walking distance (Western food, expensive but good, reservations required) and... We were 6 people traveling together. (4 Females and 2 Males, rent-a-car plan, 2 rooms for 2 nights) The owners are very friendly, patient and thoughtful. They gave a detailed introduction(dining info/scenic spots) to the neigbourhood and Yakushima, helped us reserve the morning/lunch bento for Jomon Sugi Trip on the next day, and even rearranged the room layout (4 females+2...
