The hotel is in a great location, and the spa baths were the best we came across in 3 weeks in Japan. The room was very spacious, and it was good that there was a seating area with a couple of chairs in the window ( with great views), unlike most traditional ryokans. The dinner

You feel like you're in a luxury hotel the moment you reach Hotel Nakanoshima. Great reception upon arrival. Room is large. But I've to give it 4 star because there's no wifi in the room. The breakfast and dinner are average quality. I was expecting a lot better. The room is

We arrived at the hotel after a short walk from the train and a ferry ride. The Ryokan has recently been renovated and is more like a hotel with a large lobby, shop and entertainment area. Our room was large with an enclosed balcony and beautiful ocean views. The futons were

This was such a beautiful ryokan. I wish we would've had more time here because it had shops, a large game room, many and very beautiful onsen, very kind and helpful staff, delicious food, beautiful views - so peaceful and serene, meeting rooms, a maze throughout the hotel to

Our room
Peaceful view from our room's balcony right on the ocean.
It is easy to get to Natchi Falls. A local bus ride. Tell the bus driver you want to exit for the hike to the falls. Best bet is to visit the tourist info office near the bus station and get the info and map on getting there.

The hotel's information centre is across the road from the pier. We dropped off our luggage with the person there before going off to park our car, and the designated carpark is a distance away. They run a shuttle service between the carpark and the pier office. However, you are expected to pick up your own luggage and bring it with you on the ferry over to the hotel.

I only stayed in building one but I walked past building two during my stay. The latter did look fancier. I think the food delivered to your room tends to be in a higher quality, but if this is your first onsen hotel experience, perhaps eating in the restaurant might not be a bad choice, for that gives you a really authentic atmosphere. I enjoyed eating in the restaurant surrounded by Japanese people.

"Rooms at the side where Breakfast and Dinner are located have great views."
"Ryokan or western-style rooms? We chose ryokan. Mattresses were thin but rooms were very nice. The ocean below our balcony was awesome."
"better choose "華" building"
"We chose Building 2 as it's not too near to the ferry drop off point at the hotel lobby."
