Using booking.com there were fees not well delineated that added approximately $100 per night to the room. The staff were not accommodating, and not as accepting of foreigners it seemed. I did note that there were local families that had the same issues with billing. Nice location, slightly worn rooms. I will try Air BnB next time.

Nice hotel with wonderful sea view. Staff is not used to tourists outside Japan and mostly don't know English (which is part of the charm). Newly built/renovated with fresh rooms and nice balconies. Private beach and pool, hot springs and 3 restaurants (fairly expensive with ok food). Not a 5/5 due to: - Extra charge for lying by the pool... More

Our room was so comfortable and we had a fantastic view of the ocean! The staff spoke English and they helped us very politely. The breakfast buffet has almost everything you would imagine! I would recommend this hotel for any traveler. They have a spa and pool!

This time also my friend booked for us on promotional rate with HB Basis, Something like USD120.00 pp included great Set menu for dinner & various variety of breakfast buffet was very good value. Especially dinner is quite pricey if not in the package. However, taste of the food can be hotel's attraction! As per my friend, they do promotion... More

This hotel is a bit away from what I would think of for a quick trip to Japan, not located in a big city but a quiet little beach town. To get here using a rail pass you can get to Ito then based on the time you can take a number of local trains or express trains. We saved... More

Stayed 1 night at this hotel. The journey there is really bad.. the roads and high-ways.. but the result is no-frills. Izu is beautiful, no other word is suitable to describe. The hotspring offered by the hotel is awesome, breakfast spread is wonderful. Staffs are polite and professional. Convenient stores closes too early! No nearby 24hrs convenient stores nearby though,... More

This is a pretty nice resort hotel down near the bottom of the Izu peninsula south of Tokyo (its a fairly easy drive for a weekend away from the city). The hotel is on a really nice beach where the surfers gather...hotel has nice gardens and a lovely outdoor pool with loungers etc. Refurbished deluxe rooms on the top floor... More

I cannot say how happy I am that I followed the recommendation to come to this place by an old school friend, a Tokyo native. My first instinct had been to spend the pre-work days in Japan by doing the 'obvious' sightseeing in Tokyo, Kyoto etc but then I realised that I was not up to exhausting temple-gazing in the... The room was standard with relatively comfortable beds and a great view of the ocean. Considering we were there off-season for the beach, it was an expensive stay. They ran a shuttle to Kawazu for the cherry blossom festival but they stopped early, cancelling the one that would return after the trees are lit up. We ended up taking a... More
