Room was cheap, my first time at an Onsen recommended by Japanese nationals. Even they said the place was popular 30 years ago when large corporations took employees on "perk" weekends. Since then, the Onsen owners sold the premises to a company that did no updating, and provides a "cheap" onsen for people. They had a restaurant with free drinks for an hour; a private karaoke room for extra fee; but not up to American standards. We slept 4 to a room, two on beds, and two on pullout mattresses.
