We wanted so much to visit Takaragawa Osengaku so we rented a car from Tokyo and as the weather at Minakami could be dangerous and with snow with had the idea to book this lovely quite hotel.Familio is very very reccomended of u wish to stay an half day at Rotemburo and perfect if u wish to take a look at kusatsu. Frankly we only saw japanese people here and that's why we wanted so much to sleep in this hotel. Is quite ,peaceful and reception was amazing with a great kind service. Onsen inside and lots of confort as a washing machine. breakfast is japanese worn down western like scramble eggs bacon toast. apple juce butter, marmalade and milk and coffee with some sweet things for the kids. Japanese food is very traditional and u will never see european or american people here. i assure that takaragawa deserve a stay once in a life time, but most ryokan around the spot it cost 400-700€ every night and for 20 miles the familio hote 200€ every night is the best best thing you can find. only one person speak a little bit of english and he will have u free fruit, coconut juce and water at arrival. a very very kind welcome…
I really really loved the ambience and the scenery outside my hotel room. The only disadvantage for me was: wifi was only accessible in the lobby. It was really a great place for relaxation, they even provided free bicycles rental for some short rides to the nearby areas. I really loved it!
