This is not a glamorous hotel but provides a very comfortable stay in a spot where other hotels are being demolished nearby. It was unclear why a number of buildings were being demolished locally but many areas on the local roadways were under repair due to landslips following recent and very unusual wet weather so that may be the reason....

stayed at this hotel one night in October and enjoyed our stay. The room, especially the bathroom, are smaller than other hotels we've stayed in but the lady at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed the kaiseki dinner. i don't eat raw seafood (much to my husband's delight) but there was plenty of other things for me...

I'd spent several nights in big onsen mass tourism hotels during my tour of Hokkaido. This place is the antidote. Nic big tatami mat room with lots of amenities, and wifi and TV, even in the middle of nowehere. Truly fantastic onsen - no frills but just hot as hell sulphurous baths both inside and outside. Meals are served in a...

Oh how I wish we had stayed here more than one night! The hotel, whilst not overly luxurious, was extremely pleasant and comfortable - particularly as a we had hardly slept the night before whilst photographing owls and had been up early for a boat cruise photographing Stellers Eagles. Those were the creatures... this was our comfort.. A lovely onsen...

We arrived here in a blizzard so we were very glad to find it! This is a nice hotel with good facilities. The room was recently decorated in traditional Japanese style and offered green tea and coffee in the room. I'm a little stiff for the traditional low furniture and futons 😀but once down they were very comfortable. The public...

Very impressive by the comfort of the rooms and the high quality of the dinner and breakfast - both beautifully presented with an extensive selection of dishes. There is also a good onsen with outdoor and indoor pools, a laundry area and a garden. Wifi was good. Staff were extremely helpful. The hotel seems to be mainly used by Japanese...

We stayed here for one night in January 2015 as part of our birdwatching tour of Japan. Our room was well proportioned by Japanese standards and we had two mid size beds. However, our table and chairs were very low to the ground and, therefore, uncomfortable to sit at (especially if you are tall) for any length of time. The...

This is an excellent hotel. The rooms are new and very comfortable with very comfortable western style beds. The meal was first class, one of the best of our trip. The Onsen is also charming, particularly the outside one. Staff are also very hospitable. My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer. Highly recommended.

We had a very new room. the onsen was great, the food was excellent, notably for dinner. Staff was very friendly as well. It is a good choice if you visit the peninsula. Also the value for money is very good!

Our small group of 12 stayed at this hotel for convenience to the park and accessibility for the boat ride highlighting the stellar sea eagles. The staff was outside waiting for us in the frigid cold and snowy early evening to grab our bags and welcome us to the hotel. The staff were extraordinarily efficient in getting our luggage to...

“Rausu is a quaint little town near Shiretoko National Park. Most would stay in Utoro on the other side of Shiretoko Pass when visiting Shiretoko. If you like to explore more than Shiretoko i.e. a fishing town with many surprises installed, then stay in Rausu instead of Utoro. This is the go-to hotel for Rausu. Utoro feels a little more sleepy than my liking, and less options for food are available, although there is always an abundance of convenient stores in all these Hokkaido towns!”
