Our room was clean and spacious and that is important in a tatami room since you have to stand up from the floor. The onsen was fabulous. The breakfast buffet was great. The view of the lake was outstanding and the grounds are beautiful and a wonderful place to take photos of yourselves and friends.

Enjoy the food spread, nice seafood. A really good onsen, enjoy the outdoor onsen while enjoy the chilled air. Firework was not bad and it was just outside the hotel. Although the room was a bit aged, but overall was good. It was quite a nice stay if you looking for good onsen experience with a nice variety of food... More

Loved the traditional Japanese room in a new, modern hotel. We enjoyed sleeping on the tatami mat & lounged around in ukata. It has the luxuries of a 5* hotel, including wonderful buffet meals. The onsen was the best during our Hokkaido tour. Imagine soaking in a hot infinity pool with amazing water views! What a treat!!!

We stayed for 2 nights in this hotel. The lobby looks modern but when we enter our room looks old with old fashioned furniture. The room has nice lake view which is strategically located for nightly fireworks in summer. The buffet has a wide spread of choices which is average standard. Overall,it was a pleasant stay.

Had a one night stay here in traditional Tatami rooms. Though it smelt like someone smoked in the room before, the smell went off after a while and did not affect us much. There was a good spread of food during the buffet and dishes were delicious. There was even a firework display at night after dinner time by the... More

The lobby is great and modern which gave us a leap of joy. However, when we entered the room, we discovered an old room which seems to have no maintenance at all. Another drawback is that there are too much guests that it 's not a good dining experience in this hotel and the choices and quality of food is... More

Stayed for only 1 night. Nice view of the lake from the bedroom window. However, my family members and I could not sleep well as the rooms had strong cigarette smoke odour even though I've booked for non-smoking ones. The rooms look eerie as they are furnished like in the 1970s. Found spider web on the window sill. Hence, we... More

We stayed one night so we can play at the waterpark. The waterpark is nice with waves. Even though there are many people (aug holidays), the waterpark is large so good enough. The public onsen is new and modern. The public onsen is the highlight of this hotel. There is great direct view of Lake Toya from the onsen. And... More

We stayed in Toya Sunpalace for the fantastic view of Lake Toyako. The hotel onsen was fabulous with full view of the lake. It was really enjoyable and relaxing. At night there was fireworks which can be viewed from the hotel garden. The room was OK, Japanese tatami style, therefore more space. Why stay in the room? Should go out... More

I and my family members stayed there for 2 night and the hotel itself situated next to the lake. The view is spectacular even from out bedroom. We stayed in a Japanese traditional room and it condition is telling us that it is time to get renewed. Can see a lot of tear and wear and also quite surprised with... More
