I had a truly fantastic time staying at the Nozawa Dream. The staff were wonderful, always providing excellent service and going beyond that to befriend you when around the lodge, in town and on the mountain. The facilities were great, including an excellent drying room, and the breakfast was fantastic. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.
I stayed here with a group of friends recently and the whole experience was excellent. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. And the location was fantastic - about a 5 minute walk to the bottom of the gondola. Definitely stay here!
The hotel has nice staff an even has its own vending machine! The room is a classic Japanese bedroom and the mattresses are really soft. They also have their dry room for when you finish skiing, you put your wet clothes in the dry room and dry all night. And the next day it will be dry. They serve Breakfast from 7:30-9:00. The breakfast is a buffet. In the lobby, they have an area where you can hang out with other guests and play games. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I recommend you to stay at this hotel when you go to Nozawaonsen.
Conveniently located near Nagasaka gondola and Nozawa onsen town. Rooms and traditional Japanese style with futons. Very clean and well maintained. Staff speaks English and is quite friendly. Breakfast uses local produce and great to star the day before skiing. Easy access from Tokyo via shinkansen to Iiyama station and then a bus ride to Nozawa onsen. Just a few minutes walk from the bus station.
This was my 2nd and my wife's 4th visit to Nozawa Onsen, and Nozawa Dream tops the list of places we have stayed. We were very happy with our choice.... well-priced, GREAT staff excellent value breakfasts, spacious & comfortable tatami rooms. And importantly for skiing, the best drying room we have come across - with a spacious basement and seating (around a heater) for putting on your boots. An easy walk to get on the snow Very close to a great Onsen (though they do have a hot bath onsite) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! And a special thank you to Alessandra who spent quite some time with us sorting out the best way to store/send our ski gear on so we are hands-free while doing a cherry blossom tour for a few weeks.
