We arrived mid-December with unseasonal snow conditions (i.e no snow), however the staff made sure that we were able to get the full experience by organising shuttle buses to other resorts where there was snow. Ash and team (including Gab) looked after us from the moment we arrived up until we left. We truly felt at home enjoying a relaxing time away, loved the onsens. We will definitely be back.

We stayed at Villa Nozawa for 4 nights in a Double Room with private bathroom. We were greeted by the the warmest, smiling face and we immediately felt at home. The amazing staff went out of their way to assist us with anything and everything, nothing was a hassle. The room was perfect; cozy, spacious with a beautiful view - we were lucky enough to see snow falling outside out window on most mornings. Breakfast was delicious with a different freshly cooked meal daily and an opportunity to meet the other guests in the warmth of the cosy lounge area. The location is handy to everything including ski fields, hire and restaurants. Thank you Gab & team for having us. We can't wait to come back! Meg & Michael

Our family just stayed at Villa Nozawa in a group with 2 other families (kids al aged between 5-7yrs) and we couldn't have been happier with the stay. The place to so lovely to come back to after a day on the slopes - inviting, toasty and warm. The layout is great with a good size lounge and dining area on the ground floor (we looked forward to the different brekkies served up every morning). There's a bar at the front where the regulars who've been coming for years pour your apres, which lead to some fun conversations and good tips for meals and things to do off the slopes. Downstairs there's a kids room which ours got good mileage out of playing in (filled with enough things to keep them off the ipads for a while); and a large drying room and heaps of space to store gear. Upstairs, the rooms were large and we really loved the styling with tatami mat floors and shoji windows. The location is only a short walk (yep even in your ski gear, carrying all your and your kids gear too) to the gondola link lift. On other days when the kids were having lessons the staff were kind enough to shuttle us all up to the Nagasaka Station. In fact the staff were all great - nothing was ever a bother, everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable, they certainly helped to make the trip! On the slopes, even though it wasn't the best season, it still rivaled a good year at Hotham and the other aussie slopes. As a group, we all agreed we'd like to come back to Villa Nozawa as soon as we could!

Managed to jag the best snow of the season but the snow wasn’t the best part of our holiday. The staff at Villa Nozawa were amazing!! They were always there to help. Even at the top of the mountain!!! Broken equipment got me down but the advice from Ash really helped me get back on the mountain ASAP. The facilities in the storage/ drying room were instrumental in setting up and repairing my snowboard for the varying conditions. The use of all the facilities were greater than expected. When it became too busy in town to find somewhere to eat without a reservation, the kitchen was at our disposal!!! I really enjoyed cooking with the local produce, especially the mushrooms. Of course the staff were always helping us with deciphering what I had bought from the supermarket and the best way to cook it. 🍜🍲πŸ₯πŸ₯˜ Breakfast was the best too. I will be replicating some of the recipes for my own pleasure. πŸ₯žπŸ₯“πŸ³ yum. Such an enjoyable experience. We were so sad to leave. Nozawa Onsen and the staff at Villa Nozawa exceeded all the expectations that I had for our first holiday in Japan. We can’t wait until next season. The only way it could get any better would be if Mother Nature turned it up a notch. 🌨 Thanks guys. We really appreciate you. πŸ’–πŸ™πŸ˜€
