Great authentic Japanese experience, right by the slopes. The family despite not speaking English make your stay the best they can and Ian is always around to answer any questions and sort all your passes.. Would definitely stay again, can't wait to be back!

Absolutely stunning family run lodge with all the traditional features which makes it a truly tranquil experience. Walking distance to everything you want in town and under 5 minute walk to the slopes. Super friendly staff/family, good size room, always clean and even has its own onsen! Can't thank erikosan and her family enough for their wonderful hospitality and for... More

A stunning traditional styled family run lodge. The lodge is a short stroll to the slopes and very close to the market centre. It has its own private hot springs onsen which is fantastic way to unwind after a big day on the slopes. There is also a lounge area with a fireplace which is a great place to relax.... More

Family run, friendly atmosphere, clean lodge. Close to the slopes, and the ski lockers, good sized area for waxing and tuning. Big clean bedrooms, traditional bathrooms. Both western and Japanese breakfast available, but they will likely assume you want western if you are western! However are more than obliging with providing a Japanese breakfast if you are willing to give... More

Maruji is best described as a home away from home. This well established lodge is run by, and the home of, an amazing Japanese family who will cater to your every need. Every morning we had the choice of a Japanese breakfast or a western style breakfast. While we ate the families good Australian friend Iain would offer his mountain... More

This is a great place to stay in Nozawa. You get a traditional style stay with an amazing onsen in the building which is perfect after a day of riding. Easy walk to the lifts and also to town. Very comfortable lodging and the host family really do accommodate you well, great breakfast. I'll stay again

Fabulous holiday and would definitely recommend. The hosts were wonderful, the amenities excellent and the Onsen was so relaxing after a day in the snow. Breakfast was included and it helped start the day off on a good note. The village is handy to the resort with lots of great restaurants.

We spent 10 days at Maruji and would definitely recommend the lodge to anyone visiting nozawa. There was 5 in our group spread across 3 rooms. There's a private vending machine stocked with beers, a communal living room and a serious kitchen where the welcoming host family prepare meals. The lodge is in one of the best locations in town...
