This hotel was very centrally located within a few minute walk the Happo-one ski lift. The Rhythm ski hire shop is basically part of the hotel which made ski hire very easy too. The rooms were a little dated but very comfortable with scenic views. The hotel lobby was really fun and had a big roaring fire although sometimes it was a little crowded. The breakfast was great and there were a few dining option, including a western pub and a traditional Izakaya ( this was the best food). We could also stroll into the town which was slippery but completely do-able (5/10min walk). The hotel is also service by the shuttle bus. We would happily stay here again.

Came here with my boyfriend in April for snowboarding (what was left of the snow anyway!) Overall, the services and location were probably the best part of the stay. Rooms themselves are aged, but we didn't spend much time in there anyway. I recommend this to people who aren't super high-maintenance/luxury-inclined, Location: - Located 40 minutes walk from Hakuba Station, recommend emailing them ahead of time to arrange pick-up from Hakuba Station. However, there are many taxis at Hakuba Station that can take you to the hotel (not too expensive, not more than ¥500?). Even the sedan taxis were able to transport our snowboards on the roof - Located within 10 minutes walking of Happo-One Gondola Adam entrance, but there is also a free shuttle pretty much every hour - Located about 10-15 min drive away from Hakuba47 (all the other resorts were closed by this time of year -- mid-April) Services: - Onsen: Really nice - there is an outdoor and indoor section of the onsen. Outside was very tranquil - Complimentary shuttle service: Very convenient - they will pretty much take you to most places you need (ski resorts, Hakuba station, restaurants in the area) - Complimentary smartphone: Useful for calling hotel shuttle for pickup and Google Maps - Breakfast: Our package included breakfast, which was really good, albeit menu didn't change much each day. But had both Japanese (congee, rice, miso soup, fish, etc.) and western options (oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, croissants, toast, omelette, egg) - Ski/snowboard lockers right outside entrance with boot dryers! - Milk vending machine: Super random but very specifically addressed my bf's protein powder needs... Staff: - Very friendly and helpful, they all spoke English very well Room: - We got the western style double room, unfortunately not the queen nor Japanese-style room. But we were able to move the beds together shhh - The carpet and decor are pretty aged, and could use some updating - Bathroom is small, but we didn't use the shower much anyway because there's the onsen available! - Room was clean at least, we spent most of our time outside of the room on the slopes or around the town so it didn't matter as much to us

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Mominoki Hotel. They won’t let you in the room until 3pm and they pick you up from the station after you pay 200 yen to phone them. Breakfast was great and buffet dinner was good too. The Onsen was fantastic I went 3 times a day which was great especially after skiing. It is right next door to Rhythm’s Ski hire which was handy. There are drink machines in the foyer and if you skip getting your room cleaned you can choose 2 chocolate bars!

Friends had recommended us to stay here and it was a very enjoyable experience. The resort itself is a little dated and old fashioned but in a way that adds to the charm. The bed was comfortable and the room was not large by any stretch but certainly enough space to not feel cramped. Very friendly staff and a great location with a variety of restaurants close by as well as a ski rental shop that has awesome coffee!!! Bonus! There is a free bus that stops at the front entrance to head to all local ski fields which is so handy. We had breakfast included in our package which was a rather limited buffet that did not change in the 5 days that we were there but it served a purpose. Would definitely stay here again.
