Our stay at the Funny Inn has been nothing short of amazing. The hosts are extremely kind and helpful and put in their best effort to make sure you enjoy your time at not only their Inn but also in Hakuba, providing discounted ski passes, insider knowledge on site seeing and activities and personalised breakfast every morning (I’d recommend). Would 100% come back to stay with them again!

Dear 166 haydens. I appreciate your fantastic review. We will make every effort to provide a menu that is easy to eat for our customers as a breakfast with variations every day. This winter season's Hakuba were not enough snow so I hope to see you and your friend again in a lot of snow . Best regards Hide and Mayumi

We spent a lovely 8 nights at Funny Inn. Mayumi and Hide were generous and kind hosts. Breakfast was delicious each morning and we had several dinners as well which were very good. You certainly never leave the table hungry. Our rooms were cosy and spacious - we stayed in 205 and 207 - and especially enjoyed the traditional wooden baths. So relaxing after a busy day on the slopes. Unfortunately, my daughter caught the flu and was sick in bed for our entire stay. Mayumi and Hide were so kind, driving us to the doctors and to the pharmacy. We had good snow when we were there and my husband and son enjoyed their skiing. We hired from Spicy and had lessons at Hakuba Snow Sports, following Mayumi's recommendation and were very happy. The shuttle is a few minutes walk, shops a 10-15 minute walk and absolutely loved Cherry Pub just a short walk away. Great, quiet location and very reasonably priced. Thanks for a great stay.

Had an amazing stay, Mayumi and Hide have been very great hosts, helping us to pick the right ski resort for the day, sorting out ski passes, ski rentals and restaurant bookings. We slept in room 210, traditional futon bed which was a great experience, Hide’s breakfast were delicious and the location is perfect next to restaurants and shops. Would love to come back! Thanks again Mayumi-san and Hide-san.

- I reserved 2 rooms for 3 people & owner did not ask for deposit (ok, we do not live in Japan & still there was trust there) - we asked & were greeted with a sign at the Hakuba bus terminal. - room was clean n decent as expected. private ensuite toilet as posted. onsen on the ground floor. - they had connection with a ski rental shop nearby that they would deliver gear over. - owner & his wife speak reasonably good English & we are live in google translate world! - I had the misfortune of breaking my hip, & they would suggest to charge me for 1 night.

We loved our one week stay at Pension Funny Inn. Mayumi-San and Hide-San go out of their way to make guests feel welcomed and comfortable. They give great ski advice (Hide-san is a ski instructor) about which fields will be better for weather or different skill levels. Funny Inn is a perfect location for skiing at Goryu, Happo or Iwatake, the free shuttle bus to all locations is just a 200m walk from the front door and takes 5 minutes to the ski fields. When we arrived, Hide picked us up from the bus station, drove us home and fed us a French themed meal. Next morning he drove us to the ski-hire place so we were all sorted. They also provided us with discounted lift passes. Room 207 is gorgeous, with a private onsen looking out over the snow capped mountains. We could not have been happier in this wonderful Hakuba family home. Thank you Mayumi-san and Hide-san for a wonderful holiday in your beautiful home.

Dear Madam. I appreciate your so beautiful review. For your staying week almost every day snowing and colder and colder day by day so snow condition is best powder in this winter season. I'm sorry you couldn't stay room 207 for all your dates because of very busy week but I'm very happy you'd love room 207. After hard skiing hot buth tub with snow mountains view is good experience for our guests. I think. Next season Hide would like to ski with you so I hope to see you and your husband again. Best regards Mayumi
