If you are staying in the Hakuba area, I highly recommend staying at the Pension Ringo-No Ki! The owner and his wife were the kindest, most accommodating couple, that are there to help you with any need. Some highlights are: Delicious breakfast in the morning, outdoor & indoor spa, and a comfy/relaxing atmosphere- especially great after a long day on the slopes or just checking out the town. Many great restaurants within walking distance as well. My partner and I couldn’t have found a better place to stay! We will be back.
Had a magnificent stay at Pension Ringo Noki . The host and his wife were so warm and welcoming and drove us to the train station when we were planning to walk there. Such a gorgeous cabin in Hakuba. Highly recommend this place for anyone travelling to Hakuba
My husband and I stayed at Pension Ringo no Ki for 5 nights in February 2019 and it was absolutly fabulous. The lodge is pristine, comfortable, well located and far too cheap for how great it is. Yoshi and his wife are incredibly considerate and gracious hosts. We were picked up and dropped off from the bus terminals. Our rooms were cleaned daily, our toiletries were neatly arranged into cups, we were given chopsticks for the instant noodles we purchased. Those very thoughtful touches were much more than we would expect, even from a 5 star hotel!! We also had breakfast and dinner at the lodge once and they were delicious. Breakfast was coffee, yoghurt, home made break and jam and an egg baked with veges, totally gourmet style. Similarly, dinner was this amazing fish disk followed by beef and vege. Not japanese at all but fabulously cooked. We had such a wonderful stay here and would absolutely come back and reccomend to friends.…
Yoshi and his wife Kayo are the loveliest people who have created an adorable little retreat in Hakuba. From the cozy dining room with a pot-bellied stove and a view of the birch trees, to the squeaky clean onsen framed by a snow-dusted sky, and the beautiful wood-lined rooms, we loved every minute of our stay. Yoshi drove me to the local gym so I could get my miles in for marathon training and pointed us to many fun places around town (try the cooking class at Open Kitchen Hakuba and the delicious soba at Zen!).
We spend 3 nights with at this cosy and amazing pension. From the warm welcome, beautiful rooms to the lovely little onsen which you are allowed to use privately. Rooms are very practical and cleaned to the finest detail on a daily basis. Breakfast is correct and enjoyed 1 night for an delicious omakase meal. Beautiful. Busstop to happo one, goyru and hakuba 47 is just in front of pension. Pension is walking distance to Echoland with many good foodoptions! Recommend as well hakuba pizza 5min walk on main street. We would definitely return. Price over value probably best you can find! Topnotch
