Stayed in February 2017 for a skiing trip. The room was small with what I describe as a caravan style pod bathroom which was entirely plastic and measured less than 2 mtrs square. Breakfast was served until 9am which consisted of a western type bacon, egg, sausage etc, all of which were either luke warm or cold. When asking for...

We travelled to Japan with friends. This was our 5th trip to Hakuba and my friends 8th and each time we have stayed at the High Mount Hotel. The reason is they treat you like family and cannot do enough for you. The hotel is located at the top of the Main Street in Wadano village. The main lifts at...

We stayed at High Mount during our week in Hakuba and would definitely return! Great location close to the lifts and nice restaurants, there is also a shuttle bus to other areas of Hakuba Valley. It is slight uphill when walking back but nothing too big. The service is excellent, and nothing seems to be a problem and staff is...

The Hotel just also happens to be the starting point for the daily shuttles to the various valley ski resorts and cost is included in your valley lift...

When it comes to hotels you often get what you pay for, but what you get here is incredible service at no extra cost. The owner fixed my snowboard after an accident, and wouldn't take payment when I offered. Seems to be a family run place, and you get the impression they genuinely care about the guests and want them...

Joe and his staff cater exceptionally to English speakers and the hotel has a friendly atmosphere. The bus service to the ski lifts at Sakka is there when you are ready in the morning and with the onsen this is our first choice of accommodation in Wadano.
