A family of three, we stayed two nights and enjoyed it. It is a quite 'Japanese' place, not in the small, wooden, traditional ryokan style, but in the more modern, concrete, fairly large, and practically designed hotel style. The hotel is welcome to foreigners, with some limited English at the reception, we saw only Japanese there, though. Rooms are very small and Japanese with tatami mats (at least our was). We asked for extra layer for our sleeping futons which was accommodated with no question. Triple windows should help keep it warm during winter; no in-room toilet with our basic room but it was close by The hotel has a typical OK nice onsen (separated M/F) with a very small outdoor pool as well. Breakfast is OK, typical Japanese, with a few 'western' items like croissant, sausage, orange juice added, seating can be either western at tables or sitting on tatamis.
