I would think so. The food is OK, filling at least, but there's no nearby alternative. Ryounkaku is isolated, at the end of the road.

Yes. Train to Asahikawa, then to Kami Furano. There is a bus three times a day from directly outside the station to the hotel. it is the last stop.
