Stayed for the sauna and snowboarding.
Bottled beer sells out quickly, so it's a good idea to order early.
Prices are reasonable compared to other facilities further away from the city.
There are no unpleasant staff, so feel free to ask any questions.
Some of the food has received harsh reviews, but I'm not a gourmet, so everything was delicious, especially the vegetables.
It's true that accommodation fees have been rising steadily since the Heisei era. However, if you're running it and providing the same service to protect the lives of your employees, it shouldn't be too expensive.
I hope that this precious hot spring town, which is supported by foreigners, will continue to survive with domestic customers.

Hotel's Favorite
After getting caught in a real downpour at the top of the ropeway, I really appreciated the onsen. The gentlemen at the front desk, who seems to be there 16 hours a day, couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. For a buffet, which I tend not to like, this one was pretty good. There are not a lot of options in Asahidake, but you can be very happy here.

Thank you very much for using Asahidake Onsen Hotel Bear Monte. I heard that you were caught in the rain, and I think your body was cold and it was hard. It would be great if you could soak in the hot springs and heal yourself slowly. From Hokkaido's local cuisine to authentic desserts, each item is handmade with care, so we are very honored that you are satisfied with your meal. Asahidake offers magnificent scenery created by the nature of each season. Please come to Asahidake again for a relaxing time to rest your mind and body. We'll be waiting for your visit sincerely. This little spa town is one of the few access points for the national park, and probably with the best day hike. If you want to stay locally, this hotel is perfectly located (beware of onsen hotels near Hagoromo falls - it's been partially abandoned in a post-apocalyptic way). The stylish and comfortable rooms are enormous, and it has a beautiful second floor library/sitting area for weather watching. The actual onsen is a bit average, as is the food (but there are no other dining options). Western breakfast was weak, although dinner choices were broadly fine. In short, it's not the best onsen luxury experience ever, but very practical as a base for the park.

Thank you very much for visiting Asahidake Onsen Hotel Bearmonte. Our hotel is located at 1100m above sea level at the foot of Asahidake, the main peak of Daisetsu National Park, the largest national park in Japan. Asahidake ropeway station is only a 3-minute walk away, making it the closest of all the hot spring resorts in the area. We are glad to hear that you found our hotel convenient as a base for exploring Asahidake. We are also very happy that you like our spacious and comfortable rooms and library where you can relax with a drink and enjoy the view from the window. We will make use of your feedback for future improvements and continue to strive for everyone's satisfaction in the future. We look forward to welcoming you again. Hotel in great location near the cable car that goes up to Asahi volcano, medium comfort, very large room. Discreet buffet. Onsen so so, considering that in the outside part is placed only a tub of cold water while the hot tubs are only inside.
Incomprehensible the absence of cleaning the room with a stay of three nights (not even the garbage was removed). In the face of our complaint we were abundated the cost of drinks for the three dinners, a kind gesture but that does not compensate for the discomfort experienced.

This was my first stay.
To climb Asahidake with autumn colors
I tripped from check-in first.
The TV broke down and he said he was preparing a small TV
So, the price cut. The manager's instructions not to show up were: a room of four that was empty (even though it was supposed to be full).
The next stumbling block is where the dinner table is
I was surprised to find a table, well, four legs, forced into the aisle.
I was taken there (customers and staff kept walking by and couldn't slow down)
There is no choice on the first day‼️But then, the second night, the aisle table
Frustratedly requesting table changes
Then, what was passed through was a semi-private room, a small room separated from the next room by curtains
The third thing happened in that cubicle.
I asked for a craft beer.
I brought a glass, and to my surprise, there was a crack in the mouth
Complaining, additional beer came.
It's fundamentally wrong.
What they all have in common is a swell atmosphere where they don't seem to be able to communicate satisfactorily

Stunning room in the best location for climbing Mt. Asahidake. In winter it must be even better. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the food varied and really good. The onsen baths were very good as well. I could have easily stayed a week and not gotten bored.

We really enjoyed our 4 nights, in a beautifully appointed room. The onsen was excellent. The area around the hotel is great if you love to hike in the forest. We went up the rope way but unfortunately the weather was not conducive to walking. This place must be magic in the winter for the snow sports. The buffet was really good, but it doesn’t change. The staff are very personable. All in all, it was a very nice stay.

The calm colors made for a relaxing stay. The food was delicious. It was close to the Asahidake Ropeway and the good weather helped me feel refreshed.
