We stayed in one of the tower rooms, which was great. But the host was, at best, cold. Not sure if he just does not like Americans or didn't like us. I speak French (although not perfectly), and always tried my best, but it did not seem to satisfy our host. It may seem trivial, but we were honestly shocked... More

Staying in this beautiful place is a real treat. We went again this summer. Everything is how it should be. Charming manor, spotless cosy bedrooms decorated with taste, just like they look on the website. Nice hosts, willing to help when you try and speak French. Breakfast is great with home made "confitures", lunches under the trees with a view... More

This is a charming old Manoir set in lovely gardens. We booked too late to stay in the main house, but were offered a room in the 'outbuildings' Our room was tatty and poorly furnished with awful mis-marched polyester bedding with dust everywhere. All the comforts one would expect for the price were missing. No soap or shampoo, no bath... More

Le Manoir is a magnificent house, the accommodation is superb and stylish and the food excellent. However, unless you speak fluent french, do not expect to be included in the conversation at dinner with the host and hostess. You will be ignored while he talks non-stop to the extent that even the french couple who were dining with us, could... More

“Rooms in the manor give a more "back in time" feeling. The ones in the outbuildings are easier with young children”

“If you must stay here you need to have fluent French or you will be ignored. Stay in the main house. The wine served with the rather ordinard dinner is terrible. Best to east out perhaps.”
