This hotel was full of charm! It's run by a lovely couple who ensure that you have a great time at their property. It's a very laid back town and great place to chill by the beach. The rooms were clean and spacious. The property was lovely with great music always playing. The burgers and craft beers were spectacular! I would definitely come again!

Very good food and a nice garden, hostile owner. We had fish taco from mahi mahi(best food so far, we been out for 4 weeks) and chicken wrap. We ate outside and it waa great atmosphere, no mosquitos and we had balboa to drink. If you are in to some special craft beers, you will found them here

We booked based on the great reviews on TA. This is not a 5 ratings establishment! A very glib manager over sold a lot of what was going on at the Lodge and seemed quiet surprised by our fully paid in advance reservation. It is modest establishment but the pricing is not for what you get. Lumpy uncomfortable bed. Threads bare grey linen. The food was a huge let down after been told how unique the cuisine was. Chilli poppers are quiet straight forward but they had no flavour or heat. There was a band that was supposed to play at 7 and Salsa lessons we going to be offered. This sounded great we made sure we were back in time and a couple of locals arrived. The service was slow due to the socialising with friends. We waited patiently for the band to start playing. They eventually started playing at 9.30 by which time we had given up. We then had this music loud in our room till midnight. The hotel side of the business seems to be an inconvienience to to local activities.

We loved our two nights at the Manglar. Lovely grounds, and just a few steps to the beach. The hosts are super friendly, speak English, and are very good cooks. They’re knowledgeable about the area and will give you advice about the tides and directions to nearby sights. There’s a nice little bar, and they’ll keep your wine and beer cold for you if you bring your own. Not fancy, but well maintained and clean, with reasonable rates. We’ll definitely visit again.
