We spent an afternoon at the Royal Champagne Hotel & Spa for the holidays. The hotel is a 5-star member of Forbes and Leading Hotels of the World networks. The hotel is located in the middle of the vineyards and looks from afar like a thermal establishment by the sea.For the season, the establishment is beautifully decorated, with many trees on the terrace, at the entrance and in the living room. We first had lunch at the restaurant Le Bellevue choosing the menu Croisette at 55 €. Savoyard emulsion, perfect egg, sablefish, candied ox cheek and mont-blanc with chestnuts, accompanied by a glass of whites and Mercurey. The dishes are well presented, the food is good and refined, everything you would expect from a 5 star. The atmosphere is nice. Beautiful crystal light fixtures descend from the ceiling in the restaurant. Another hanging creation in tree-shaped Swaroski crystal decorates the living room. The staff is quite young, in number (bartender for aperitif, sommelier for choice of wines), smiling and helpful. The outfits are very pretty, elegant and well cut. We continued with the spa with its heated pool of 25 m, two Jacuzzis and steam room. Sarah and Elodie provided us with high quality care with real expertise, each in their own field, and a great sense of listening. In the end, a very nice experience and a good time as a couple. Only downside, siglés goodies really far too expensive.

The Royal Champagne is an exceptional property, with large, thoughtfully designed rooms, each with a wonderful view of the vines. There is a large indoor pool, small heated outdoor pool, steamroom, sauna, and whirlpool available to all guests, which is certainly worth experiencing.
The rooms are modern, and come with lovely dyptique toiletries. Wifi was high speed. After enjoying the delicious breakfast buffet, you will wish there wasn’t a scale in the room.
Staff is attentive and always helpful if you need anything. And there are many thoughtful touches like the (almost) daily snacks.
There is a expansive terrace, which is a great spot for enjoying a drink (and the view) before dinner.
One opportunity for improvement was housekeeping, which sometimes overlooked restocking items or removed towels without replacing them (though this was quickly rectified with a call to the desk).
Be aware you either need a car or driver to leave the property

It is not the first time we visited this hotel. In 2022 we were here twice, of which we had two Marie Louise suites and five Royal Junior suites in April and the Josephine Suite in March of the same year. Last year we were also here in April and this year we saw the swallows skimming over the pool. Which was not a spectacular sight. Despite the professional friendliness of the staff, the excellent dinner, the reasonably wide choice for breakfast (in '22 the supplements were free ) the composition of the audience has changed. It could be that other people, especially young people, have discovered this hotel. To this hotel you go to the hotel itself. The room is beautiful, the vista fantastic and if you want to be pampered, you can hear your lava to every day many times: “ How are you today” “Did you have a nice day “ “You’re welcome “ It could be a bit more casual and spontaneous. Except for exceptions. Probably 10 euros at a time will be deducted from their salary, if they do not ask the customer if their day had gone well. Rooms are cleaned and kept clean, as befits these types of hotels. Beds can now be replaced. It wobbles too A lot. Nevertheless, it remains a good hotel. Better than the other hotels around.

Top staff. Delicate attention: champagne in our room offered for my wife's birthday. Both rooms: impeccable. Michelin-starred restaurant good except that...out of 4 people, my wife and I were intoxicated. We spent the night in the bathroom alternating! My son and daughter-in-law were not sick while we ate the same menu. But it is true that they are younger and probably more resilient. A little hygiene problem, probably. The chef is also a charming and quite gifted person. So we don't understand. It should be noted that the wines chosen by the sommelier to accompany the 4 dishes were disappointing and not at the level of the rest except the Santenay .( for 80 € per person for wines , we must be able to do better). Apart from the above mentioned incident pleasant stay. At the time of writing, gastro has finally been absorbed. Price paid 3100€ for two bedrooms and 4 dinners.

Lovely hotel and location. The room was lovely and comfortable although the shower did not get to a hot temperature The room was appropriate and comfortable but the view was disappointing since we were put in a room on the Lower ground level we had no view of Riems without standing up outside.
The biggest disappointment was the breakfast and restaurants. At breakfast the buffet is limited and you have to pay for any substantial hot food apart from creamy scrambled eggs and fatty streaky bacon. I asked for Gluten free toast and it took 25m to get to me. The seats by the window set for 2 people are not dining seats and not comfortable for eating as they are too low down for eating. Some of them have a nice view. Others do not and plenty of the seats have their backs to the restaurant. The small bar next to the restaurants was very good serving great cocktails and a plethora of champagne and wine by the glass or bottle.
The Michelin star restaurant top menu was very disappointing. It was almost 1200 Euros for 2 people in that being the 220 Euros per head for the top wine pairing. The food was not Michelin quality and we left many dishes as they did not taste good. Some where fine but not Michelin quality. The wine was cheap local young wine and not likened to a top wine pairing. Definitely a rip off menu for tourists. If I was to return I would order alacarte and I'm sure it would have been lovely.
Room service was good and all the typical favourites are there but after 1030 the menu is basically not edible and not fit for a 5 star hotel.
The spa was lovely and they did their best to fit us in even when they were very busy. With good weather the outdoor pool is great. All the staff were very helpful and friendly across the hotel in general. The housekeeping were very good and quick also.
I would go back and do the fine dining restaurant without tasting menus or wine pairings. The core restaurant I would make sure to be at a suitable table vs the couples seats at the window. In summary, definitely worth going and overall it is a great hotel and service with some pitfalls in the dining which you can be careful in your choices to avoid disappointment.

Nice hotel with a beautiful view. Spacious rooms, equipped with every comfort. Especially the service and attention of the staff is far above expected. Super valet service (providing cold water in the car on departure, removing the rubbish from your car, ...). The only downside is the unkempt lawn next to the swimming pool and the lack of flowers in the entire shack.

Stay from November 20 to 22, 2023. Coming from Les Crayères, the hotel is nestled on the “hillside” of the vineyards. A great experience from start to finish. The room is modern and well thought out. The massage experience delivered at the spa by Sophie is sublime, because she knows the anatomy of the human body perfectly. The experience of the 2 restaurants Bellevue (service: pleasant and courteous) and Royal (service: a small downside). The dishes are fair and balanced.

The location is a bit out of the most well-known routes, which was perfect. The hotel is beautiful, amazing and the staff is professional, friendly and helpful. It is well set with amazing views. The pool is mandatory. It has a decent size and was calm when we swam The included buffet breakfast was a great way to start the day. I found the food a little exaggerated and the doses were very large. The location is convenient to reach Hautevillers, Epernay and Reims. Sophie’s spa treatment was the best I’ve ever had, ended with a glass of champagne on the sunny balcony next to the outdoor pool. Do not fail to take a short walk to the vineyard and, if you have energy, walk 1.8 km to Hautvillers. (Either drive - or borrow a bicycle at the hotel. The bar is fantastic and the drinks are also good. We enjoy the restaurant several nights, but we did not experience the Michelin star... our loss. We would return without a doubt and we already recommend the hotel to friends.

After a long drive from the airport we found our reward. Royal Champagne Hotel and Spa. Wow, what a stunning place! Superb architecture, harmoniously nestled in its beautiful surrounding landscape. We were warmly welcomed from the very moment we parked in the entrance. At the reception Lise ushered us to a lovely sitting area where we sipped a little champagne during check in. You quickly get the sense of where you are. Our room was simply gorgeous, A chilled bottle of Leclerc-Briant was faithfully waiting for our arrival, very thoughtful. Every amenity you could think of was present, including a button on the phone that said: “Champagne Please” loved it. The bathroom was divine, and I definitely enjoyed the sumptuous bathtub. The spa was extravagant, meticulously designed, exuding a sense of well being and peacefulness. Absolutely stunning in every way. Best of all I’m a fan of both Clarins and My Blend, so I was happily surprised. I enjoyed a delicious massage followed by a swim in that glorious pool. Then off to get dressed for dinner. We enjoyed a beautifully prepared meal properly served. Merci! You can tell that every single person who works there has a true love for hospitality and they are delighted to make your stay most comfortable and memorable. Breakfast, by the way, was what you would expect, outstanding. We only stayed for one night, I would not hesitate to take more time to enjoy the champagne vibes at this exceptional property.

Stunning modern hotel with beautiful restaurants. This hotel has an incredible spa and pool. The rooms are modern with great amenities. My only gripe would be that the cleaning staff did not restock the body lotion. It is nice lotion - Diptyque. Our lotion was finished and the cap was off and on the counter. The cap was simply put back on the empty bottle and put back on the counter. I see this with lotion in a lot of hotels and for me, it separates some hotels out. However, a quick call to housekeeping and a new bottle was provided. The hotel concierges also did an outstanding job of arranging champagne tours, transportation and a special birthday cake, which was absolutely delicious. This is a great hotel to stay at if you are interested in exploring the champagne region.
