We were picked up by the hotel shuttle bus from Nagano station and driven to the Nagano - Zenkoji temple area for 3 hours browsing time. Yuriko, our driver and hotel desk clerk is lovely and very helpful and speaks English. The hotel was a 50 minute drive from Nagano in the Yomase Onsen area. There are 3 Baths available... More

Stayed two nights in a Western/Japanese room. Plenty of room and clean bathroom and toilet in the room. Buffet dinner with a large choice and descriptions of Japanese dishes. Very nice food, generous and extremely helpful staff. Shuttle service took us to Nagano-Zenkoji Temple and the monkey park. They also collected us and returned us to the Nagano station.

This hotel, overlooking Nagano, looks like no money has been spent on it since the Greg Japanese crash almost 25 years ago. The carpets and furniture were worn, elements of the decor was clearly dated and the rooms did not have keycard access but relied on metal keys. (Remember to lock your room!) On the other hand, the place was... More

We stayed 2 nights as part of an organised itinerary. It is just above Nagano on a small ski field, you can see the lights below at night. The owners were wonderful to us, and their son Nori spoke some English which was very helpful. He picked us up at the train station and gave us a tour high up... More
