The room was clean and spacious! Great to have hot green tea at all times, and kimonos to wear. The onsen was wonderful! - The Yamanouchi village was cosy and friendly,- and all the sites we visitied (mountains, monkeys, other towns) were fantastic! The stay gave us an opportunity to see the real Japan, away from the big cities. -...

We stayed at this lovely hotel for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. Heday-san was always very welcoming and cheerful and gave us plenty of help and great advice. Our room was very nice and extremely large. It was in the traditional Japanese style which was great.

We were greeted immediately on arrival by our host even though we were the only people staying and he quickly answered all questions that we had about the yudenaka monkey park that we planned to visit that night. This traditional style hotel is great for a small trip in Yamanouchi. There is a large tata;i room that comes equipped with hot and ice water, a tea set, and yukata! There is also a small and yet extremely comfortable onsen available for most of the day. Nothing beats a steamy hot bath after a long day of walk. The...

The place has an old rustic charm with a really good onsen and a witty charming and funny owner who drives you to and from the station and to the monkey park for no extra cost. I would definitely recommend this place and will stay again next time I visit Yudenaka.
