We called in on the way home from a day out. We hadn't booked, but no issue getting a table (was a Tuesday with several eating). The a la carte menu looked great but opted for the tapas. Really tasty and excellent service. Good pint of HPA also. Would highly recommend!!

We stumbled on The Peacock several years ago when I was searching for accomodation for my husband who had work in the area. Since then we have gone out of our way to stay and to eat here whenever we are "passing" - that means its well worth deviating by anything up to an hour and a half from our... More

We had an excellent meal here and although we hadn't booked and popped in on the of chance they were extremely busy but managed to find space for us. The food was delicious and the atmosphere and staff great. Will visit again and happy to recommend

We have visited on a number of occasions and always impressed with the food and service. Cosy restaurant with food of a completely different level to any other pub in the area. The cod main is a favourite of ours as well as the scallop starter. Well worth the price.

TOP TIP: Don't expect food on Sunday Evenings This is a lovely pub with B&B but appears to be run by a guy on his own, so the lady like frills are a bit missing. In fairness, the room was super, a fabulous 4 poster bed was the highlight. However, trying to find a lamp to read by was a... More

Friendly welcome, superb food and wonderful surroundings. I would recommend this 16th century inn to everyone who enjoys a bit of everything, wifi is available as well as history, an eclectic mix of the two era's.

We went to the Peacock Inn for some dinner rather than for accomodation. The place itself in terms of deco and fittings is all very nice, warm and welcoming and this is matched by the friendliness of the staff. For this visit we ordered a sharing platter for the 3 of us and a main course each. I will talk... More

We booked for Sunday lunch, today Easter Sunday at the last minute - having passed this venue last weekend travelling to meet with friends at Hallow - but never having been to the Peacock before. Had checked out a couple of reviews and it sounded potentially like our sort of place so travelled the twenty miles for an early lunch... More

Great little pub, excellent food, friendly staff and lovely four poster beds if you are resting your head.Good selection on the menu and a good range of beers to wet the whistle. Breakfast was freshly cooked and nothing is too much trouble if you ask.
