We spent one week at this Lodge. We enjoyed everything about it. The staff were amazing, friendly, helpful. They all went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Unlike an earlier review we did not find any of the staff inattentive. Accommodations were very comfortable, clean and well stocked with towells, toiletries and beverages. . Thank you to all, we look forward to seeing you again next year.

Expected a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the crocodile river, instead got a tiny claustrophobic room with the air on and fridge not working. After travelling for hours, we were moved to a hastily half cleaned unit at the back of the lodge at 21h00. No toiletries or tea/ coffee. I had to go to our vacated room to get tea. My view was a unkept courtyard and dirty table and chairs. We were compensated for the inconvenience by the manager by offering that we do not pay for dinner, a dinner that was very basic and honestly not up to what they would have charged us.

Room Tip: Perhaps the top floor rooms have more space but certainly not the room right next to reception

The accommodation is most acceptable, clean and spacious. The male staff are very attentive, the female staff on the other hand are lazy, ignorant and difficult. This place would be wonderful if it honed in on better customer care. Using cleaning products while guests are trying to eat breakfast is poor. The breakfast selection on the last day was a joke and when I asked for a full continental deselection I was advised there wasn’t any despite the hotel being fully booked for the upcoming weekend! Thank goodness for Anton and Caesar, they worked tirelessly to accommodate their guests and always with a broad smile.

The fact that it is a small well-run lodge with views of the Crocodile River. Late afternoon sunset views from the balconies and dinner on the deck are truly memorable. We have stayed here annually for a number of years and the lodge is very well run and the staff is attentive.

I stayed here with my wife and friend for two nights as part of a visit to Kruger. The location is fantastic overlooking the river. It's especially beautiful in the evenings as the sun sets on the hills across the water. Perfect for some evening drinks. The lodge organised our safari the following morning and this was done painlessly. The safari itself was fantastic even though only indirectly related to the lodge. The rooms were good with nice terraces out on the gardens. Perfect for a late-night chat and drink. We had dinner here on two of our nights. The food isn't going to take over the world, but it was lovely and a fine finish to each day. Accommodation was clean. Staff could be over attentive at times (maybe that's what most clientele want?) but difficult to find and sometimes a little slow at other points. That's my only quibble though. Great stay overall.
