We stayed at this stunning accommodation in October, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone!
The room is exceptionally spacious, featuring both an outdoor and indoor shower, a bathtub, a fully equipped kitchen, and more. Everything is impeccably maintained. The private braai area and small pool make the experience even more enjoyable. While relaxing in the 'garden' of your private apartment, you may be visited by wildlife such as wildebeests and warthogs—a truly magical touch.
For anyone planning a safari in Kruger National Park, this is the perfect base. The jeeps are superbly equipped, you’re provided with a delicious packed breakfast, and the guide is extremely knowledgeable and professional, ensuring an incredible safari experience.
The hospitality is outstanding—you feel at home from the moment you arrive. I celebrated my birthday during our stay, and the hosts went above and beyond to make it unforgettable.
For anyone visiting Kruger Park, staying at Foxy Crocodile Bush Lodge is an absolute must for an unforgettable experience!

Basil, Rietta and their staff members mastered the art of customer service. Staying at Foxy Crocodile Bush Lodge was a pleasure. Considering the fact that it was our first time in Marloth Park, my wife and I opted for Superior Villa, with the Safari experience included. The place is a few stones from the Kruger National Park - Crocodile Gate, walking steps to the actual Kruger National Park fence. While seated at the lodge we were able to see a numbers of animals from herd of Elephants, Waterbucks, Giraffes, etc. I would advise your bring along binoculars for better experience within the lodge, if you don't have I am sure Basil & Rietta will be more than willing to assist.
Upon arrival we were welcomed by Rietta with a big smile, she was so nice, led us to our Superior Villa. Always made sure that we were comfortable as guests and she was willing to go the extra mile to make our stay easy. The villa was so clean, smells nice, beautiful private pool, very good internet with access to streaming networks Netflix, Amazon, etc. Both interior and exterior design is really beautiful with additional touch of an outdoor private shower, perfect for warmer seasons.
The food, OMG the food was really unique and the personal touch of the guy that comes to grill the meat at your Villa for dinner while you watch the process and enjoy the experience brings a breathe of fresh air and better experience that you are now in the Safari. Not forgetting the plate personalization deco for dinner... Yoh the experience is just amazing.
Here you stand a better chance to see all the Big 5 animals, on our circa 3 hour Safari drive we manage to see 3 of the Big 5 animals, Lions, Elephants, Buffalo... this is not counting other animals we saw such as Zebras, Giraffes, Waterbucks, Wild pigs, Hippopotamus, species of birds, etc. Glen was such a nice Game drive guard, always willing to explain in detail lifestyle of each animal we saw from how they live, breed, survive, etc.
Oh one last thing, my wife forgot her designer bag in the Safari van a night before our departure, the following day we left the lodge without noticing, whilst >100km away she noticed the bag was missing, we reached out Basil & Rietta. The way they were so helpful when we couldn't find the bag was really great. They couriered the bag to us seamlessly, well-packed free from damage.
Reality is that I cannot share everything in this review. My advice is visit Foxy Crocodile Bush Lodge and your won't regret.

Wow wow wow !! What an amazing experience . My Husband and I went for a 5 night stay 2 days after our wedding for our honeymoon . Where do we begin , the accommodation is exceptionally clean , traditional and out of this world set just off the river with a great view with such incredible animals in sight . Mark and Gail are the most amazing hosts from collecting us from the airport to daily safri trips and organising us a sight seeing experience! We truly felt so welcome and part of their family . Both of their knowledge and passion for the African bush gave our experience such a special touch. One of the days we were taken out by Ingrid who works for Gail and mark as a guide and she was awsome again such passion and knowledge of the animals and the bush . The staff at the resort are beyond helpful and kind nothing was to much trouble, the food each day was the best we both have ever eaten, both of us have eaten in some of the best restaurants in England and the food we were presented with daily was out of this world! Traditional, fresh and so tasty . Having booked through a great mutual friend of ours made our trip so unique from the personalised gift when we arrived and the decoration on our dinner plates . We have had the best stay and no where will ever be able to beat this experience, we saw such a range of animals and with marks knowledge and experience of being in the bush we had the best sightings . Overall this is a 10/10+++ and would recommend anyone who wishes to experience the real kruger park experience to go here!

The moment we arrived at Foxy Crocodile - we were greeted with this amazing big smile, from owner Riëtte. That was it for both us - a big welcoming smile and we automatically felt at home. Riëtte’s husband Basil was always around if we needed any advice or help and was very welcoming and chilled out. Which is what we really wanted - chilled and happy hosts. Glen was our Kruger National Park guide, from Foxy Crocodile - now this guy is something else. Very very knowledgeable and took us to parts of the park, where there were no other guides. And yes - we managed to spot all of the Big Five in one day. You couldn’t make it up - so a big 10/10 for Riëtte,Basil and Glen for that amazing experience. Couldn’t ask for anything more. The staff:- Elizabeth, Patricia, Nompie, Lucky and Pendulo were all brilliant. Always around if and when you needed anything and the food they prepared was out of this world. The staff would always stop for a little chat, which was nice and they all seemed so happy. The location is right on the KNP - so don’t be surprised when the odd Giraffe, Impala, Kudu or Warthogs casually walk by when you’re having your breakfast. Amazing experience - which we highly recommend. For the location, the host, the KNP guide and of course the staff. We will return 😊😊

We were warmly welcomed. The accommodation is truly exceptional – each has its own area with its own pool, kitchen and bathroom with both a normal and outdoor shower. Everything is furnished with great attention to detail. The hosts Basil and Riëtte were incredibly helpful and available at any time. For our safari we got two large thermos cups from the accommodation for coffee to take away, as well as blankets and buffs for the cold days. Breakfast was lovingly packed and given to our guide Piere. Both full-day safaris with Piere were exceptional – he put a lot of effort into it, even on rainy days when there were fewer animals to see. He was always attentive and made sure we could get the most out of the day. The dinner at the property was extremely delicious, and the breakfast on site was also plentiful and outstanding. It was difficult for us to say goodbye, as this one was also very warm. A highly recommended accommodation!

Fantastic room, very large, with a spectacular outdoor area with veranda, kitchen and outdoor shower. The room is furnished in African style and is immersed in the Marloth park, this makes the atmosphere even more special. In the evening several animals that populate the park pass in front of our room. We stayed 4 nights and had a very very good time. If you also buy dinners, these are served directly on the veranda of the room, which we particularly liked. We ate very well and every night we were offered new dishes, one evening even an African dinner. The owners are fantastic people, nice and always attentive to our every need. We were sorry to leave at the end of the stay. Highly recommended.

Everything was perfect ! The location near the river which immerses you in the heart of nature in a safe way with some (non dangerous) animals coming right to your doorstep. Splendid apartments, very tastefully decorated, spacious, clean with all comfort you could expect. Great safaris fully managed by Foxy Crocodile. And most of all the warm welcome and service quality provided by Gail, Mark and all their team with for example some specific kind attentions that I won't reveal to let the surprise to future guests. And what to say about the wonderful braai for the last dinner that we won't soon forget ?! In short a great memory and an experience that we strongly recommend.

This is the fourth time we have stayed at Foxy Crocodile Bush Retreat in Marloth Park and we will return again. A beautiful location where the animals roam in the immediate vicinity. It consists of 5 detached apartments, 3 of which have a view of the Crocodile River and the Kruger Park. The hospitality provides a feeling of coming home. Mark, Gail and the staff will do everything they can to please their guests. The various apartments where we stayed are equipped with every luxury; air conditioning, TV, refrigerator, bath, indoor and outdoor shower, splash pool and braai area. If desired, you can opt for breakfast, which can be served in your own apartment or can be included as a travelpackage for during the safari. Lunch and dinner can also be served in your own apartment. Sometimes the meat is prepared at our own braai place. The great thing about the location is that it is a 15-minute drive to Crocodile Bridge Gate, to enter the Kruger Park. You can visit Kruger Park with your own car or with Mark in a safaricar, which has the advantage that you do not have to drive yourself, you sit higher for a better view and Mark knows how to find the places as an experienced ranger. In summary, a top location to stay, relax, enjoy the great (night) sounds and views of the animals and do safaris from there.

We loved every single thing, it was an incredible and unforgettable experience. Marloth Park is a safe and peaceful little universe where both guests and animals feel free to walk side by side; the Foxy Crocodile is a gem inside, offering an immense and very romantic apartment, a very comfortable bed and a splendid veranda immersed in the bush, surrounded by silence and breathtaking encounters with kudo, impala and other creatures. The staff is wonderful in their helpfulness and courtesy, but above all we were struck by Gail's love for the park and its forms of life, truly contagious in her enthusiasm, it made everything even more beautiful! Trust Foxy Crocodile, you won't regret it!
