The West Walker Motel was very accommodating of my need to check in late and leave early. The hotel has high desert charm, and the rooms are decorated in that fashion. The amenities were modern while the overall character was from a time gone by.

This place was totally cute and historic! Great landscaping. The room was just what we were looking for...shower, nice comfy bed, great soap, nice kitchenette! If we are back in the area, we will return!

The title says it all. It's a motel in the truest old since of the word. Basic, but clean and friendly. Could use some maintenance in fit of doors and so on, but the price to value ratio is hard to beat. And, how long since you've actually stayed in an honest to goodness "motel"?

Friendly staff. Gave us directions for where we had to go and knew the area very well. Rooms were clean and comfortable to be in. It was located in a very convenient and centrally location and was a very short drive to anything you wanted.

One of the nice places to stay in this very remote area. Room is a bit small and cramped, but charmingly decorated. Very friendly owner hands out handmade soap up on arrival. No breakfast and internet is slow. But each room has a seating area and furniture right in front of the room for a quiet picnic.

Owners make you feel at home and you can be in Yosemite and Tahoe and back and still have a day of fun. Bodie Ghost Town nearby and more. Restaurant across street for lunch and dinner. You can have a pizza delivered to room from Country Store.

Booked this motel for 1 night whilst travelling between Lone Pine and Carson City, it has cabin rooms which are themed, husband and I had the American theme and our son had the animal theme, each room was immaculate, plenty of towels, coffee, there was a refrigerator and microwave, there is outdoor seating for each cabin and the ladies at... The outside is very well decorated and you have a table and chairs in front of the room. The room itself is also well decorated (each room having a different theme, we had the "Australia" room). It is comfortable with enough place to sit around the small table. There is a microwave, fridge and coffee machine. The bathroom was recently... More

Cool old style motor lodge don't expect to much but very friendly clean. Would defiantly stay again we stayed 3 nights walls are thin but if everybody has respect then you will be fine. This is a great base camp or a 1 nighter. I am very picky and just started staying at these old school motor lodges the last... More

This older motel is very clean and a great value. With tax it was less than $100 and there is no fee for dogs! The bed was comfortable, bath a little small, didn't use the kitchen. Right on US 395 but didn't hear any traffic when inside the room.
