We stayed in the fountain inn for one night on a Saturday night purely because it was walking distance to a local party we went to. Quite frankly though the place was horrible. Possibly the worst place I've ever stayed in. At 60 quid with no breakfast it wasn't particularly cheap either. But seeing the state of the place not... More

This seems like a nice pub - the garden is incredibly pretty, the staff are friendly & the food looked lovely - but I won't be staying here again. Our room was not particularly clean but the bathroom was an absolute disgrace / health hazard. Neither my husband nor I were prepared to step into such a disgusting shower cubicle... More

One of the best menus we've seen for a while, perfect choice of light snacks or a more substantial meal at very reasonable prices. Combine this with a genuinely warm welcome and great selection of drinks and this is the perfect choice! Highly recommended.

Decided to stay here as we were attending an event in Soham and didn't want to drive home. The room was a small twin bedded one with en-suite, one of three they have in a building opposite the smoking area. The room was well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, television with freeview as well as soaps and towels... More

We stayed here for a family function on 27/28 August. The rooms were very clean and more than adequate. The landlady and staff were fantastic and very helpful. The rooms are situated in the beer garden, however we had a little one who had no problem sleeping. The only downside was that you could not get any food, however the... More

The Fountain used to be a thriving pub, serving good food with a buzzing atmosphere. Over the past couple of years it has dwindled to a third rate inn, depending on its 24/7 licence to serve drinks. I used to look forward to having lunch at the Fountain once a week. But alas, now, like most hostelries, it does not... More

I stayed in the room 2 on a Mon & Tues nights. Clean room, comfortable bed, ensuit toilet shower room, TV, free WiFi., tea/coffee making facility. All this for very modest price. If anyone can find fault with this place as value for money they would have to be very 'picky'. And just to be 'picky' there is some road... More

The Fountain is a very welcoming and accommodating pub, nothing is too much trouble and customer satisfaction is of paramount importance. The food is well cooked and plentiful and the ingredients are fresh. After placing our meal order, the landlady came to double check the ingredients with us to make sure we didn't have allergies, which we thought very considerate.... More
