Visited for 2 nights with a group of family. Rooms and accommodation were excellent, comfy beds, great shower and excellent tea/coffee/shortbread in the tools. Great to see cleaners had been in during our stay, making a fresh bed and towels after a hot day at Rutland Water. Evening meal was nice, fish & chips, but the steaks were best reviewed... More

We've visited a few times and had amazing food each time, and such great value! Week days half price meals, duck and steaks for about £6- £7! Nice atmosphere and in the winter they have lovely fires keeping the place nice and warm. Will keep going back!

It is an annual event for our group which we look forward to - playing petanque and then a meal together with friends. The alterations did not interfere with our enjoyment, in fact the service was quicker than last year, so keep it up!

Sadly I had to cancel my booking due to sickness. I know the hotel has a 48 hr cancellation policy. However given the fact that my illness meant that I had to miss a memorial service for my partner in a nearby church, I had hoped for a better response than charging me in full. Compassion isn't a weakness in... More

We ate here on weekday lunchtime and it was very busy. The menu itself was offered at half price and although not extensive, there was plenty to choose from. Had we paid full price I think we would have been disappointed. The food was tasty but portions small. The pub itself was lovely. Tastefully decorated with comfortable seats. A really... More

Quaint little pub, with accommodation, food is lovely but pricey, staff are friendly, place is very popular so book beforehand, for night time. Currently in process of being extended, our first visit but will be going back.

We dropped into the White Hart on the of chance of a table and was greeted with a smile and a "of course". The menu although relatively compact has something for everybody plus a veg choice, specials are on a board in the bar area. We did have starters but went straight for the Fish Pie and Half duck, the... More

Friendly hotel with good breakfast. Had the room with the four-poster and spiral staircase up to the bathroom. This was OK for us, nice and quiet and the bonus of having the use of a sitting room, but would recommend anyone with either mobility problems or the propensity to have maybe "one two many" to think carefully about booking the... Four of us went out for a meal and I had been recommended The Old White Hart as a good place to visit, I had not been there for a number of years so we gave it a go. The menu, whilst not extensive, covers all tastes and they have some nice real ales. The food, the surroundings and the... More
