Up on a family work trip, looked for the best local hotel and breadsall stuck out by a mile. It didn't let down. The grounds are lovely, the building full of charm and history. All staff excellent and welcoming. With a baby boy we have to do a lot of in room dining when it comes to the evenings as...

Stayed one cold winters night for a business meeting with a set menu dinner. Breakfast and lunch were buffet style. The room was comfortable enough and clean but the heating in the communal rooms was inadequate. We asked if the fire in the lovely old dining hall could be lit and told it was out of order. The food was...

Nice location, natural environment and probably nice golf course (it was dark and couldn't walk around it properly) first of all. A place where nothing may disturb you. However and for a Marriot chain hotel I expected something else, some added value proposition: room was not warm enough during the night even with "heating system" on, wi-fi was not for...

Relaxing weekend, beautiful hotel full of history and charm set in stunning grounds. Good standard of service, friendly staff. Some areas in need of a refresh but not that bad overall considering the price. Enjoyed the pool, steam room and sauna. Food choice limited in Priory restaurant so we decided to dine informally in the Tempo bar. Just okay, note...

I went about 3 years ago and had an amazing stay, the highlight was a truly phenomenal dinner. This time. The booking system had failed and reception has queues of people not getting the type of rooms they had booked. The staff were friendly. The room (not the one that been booked) smelled damp and areas of the hotel needed...

A comfortable and enjoyable overnight stay. The deluxe room was lovely with two very comfortable double beds. The view from the bedroom was beautiful and overlooked the golf course. The restaurant service was good, but the menu was not everyone's taste. Breakfast was excellent. If you have a walking disability, this might not be the ideal hotel for you. Our...

Wonderful property and beautiful grounds sadly let down by bedrooms which not only need modernising and decorating also need cleaning properly. The general state of repair of the bedrooms was very poor. Good service in Tempo bar, special mention to Peter who served us. Most staff seemed very pleasant but there are a few who couldn't muster a smile. Overall...

I booked two rooms for one night as a treat following a day in the Peaks. The hotel is beautiful with fabulous grounds. The staff are very polite, friendly and helpful. The history of the place is really interesting too. Its a bit odd to have to walk through the bar to get to the pool but to be fair...

Stayed here for one-night break from the family on a dinner/room/breakfast deal. We are restricted as because of my disability we need level access and a roll-in wetroom. I have to say that once my wife had checked us in at reception and we had driven around the grounds 3 times we eventually found the access to our room on...
