Stayed here for three nights. All staff friendly and helpful. Rooms appear to be recently refurbished. Comfortable bed in quiet room. Only one chair - two would be nice. New bathroom shoehorned into cupboard like space - no feline flinging here. Room a bit chilly - even in July. ( Might be an age thing.)Reported to reception. Good selection for breakfast - with the cooke choice being excellent quality. Scrambled eggs to die for - and kippers. We ate in the restaurant on three evenings. Quality and presentation very good - apart from fish and chips: crispy batter and tasty fish; too many peas and chips, the latter being ok-ish. Trio of lamb so good I had it twice. Mini rack, rump and noisette. Great flavour. Peppered squid starter with salad. Good salad. Three pieces of squid a bit mean. They do like a peashoot garnish here. Seems to be the new parsley. £1.90 for a bottle of tonic? Taking the Mickey. Concise but not too overpriced wine list. The couple we tried were nothing exceptional. Standard stuff. Overall, food prices reasonable- and no service charge.(not that I ever pay it.) Would definitely come again.

We stopped at this pub for a drink, it has loads of character! The fire was on to add to the ambiance. The food was served until 6 pm so we didn’t get to eat there but the food did look like good home style cooking. Prices were as expected.

This hotel is in a village about 10 minutes from Crewe railway station. It offers good value and comfortable bedrooms. The restaurant serves pub type food but with a few different things. Service is excellent and the rooms are clean. Definitely a place to use if visiting the area

We visited the restaurant/pub after a drive out. We entered the pub and noticed steps up to the restaurant area, the waiter walked round to the accessible entrance with us and directed us to the restaurant area, he opened and help all the door and was so helpful. Food was perfect, my husband had a burger and I had a beef and onion sandwich which I requested on a brioche bun (not on the menu) but both the waiter and the chef was very accommodating. We had desert also, both very delicious. The menu had lots of choice and the food is all home cooked by a head chef. *Accessibility* The pub entrance is step free however to get to the restaurant there was a small set of steps (5-8 steps). The building does have a ramped entrance on the hotel side that takes you straight through to the restaurant entrance. Although I did not see a disabled toilet, I think they did have one as all other aspects were accessible. The men and ladies toilets were step free.

Visited for a weekend whilst visiting family and Alton Towers. The hotel is very prettu and spotlessly clean. Our room whilst being one of the smaller on offer was more than adequate for the 2 of us with a very comfortable bed and pleasent decoration. Although we didn't book in for dinner we had breakfast both mornings and this was faltless and served in an incredibly attractive dining room. My one niggle, which was very small and could have been resolved by my visiting the reception for assiatance was that although the visitor book said the WiFi was free and not password protected (therefore no password provided) it was actually encrypted and the signal in hotel was very poor. Would definitley recommend and visit again.
