We stayed in Puffin Quoy - the smaller of the two cottages (there is also a B&B). The cottage is wonderful with the most incredible view across the bay of Houton. Caroline and Kevan have transformed a derelict barn and house into a truly wonderful place to stay. They are so welcoming and really look after their guests. We stayed... More

We stayed for just 2 nights at the room upstairs. Everything was wonderful and perfect. The breakfast is amazing, and the room was superb. Toilets and shower a bit small but beautifully arranged. The views from the room are beautiful and peaceful. Service is perfect Just wish we could have stayed longer! (We wanted 3 nights but it was full).... More

Puffin Quoy is self catering cottage for a couple, everything you could need. Wood burning fire if weather cooler and outside seating area to enjoy sunshine! Situated for easy access to the Orkney mainland attractions and to visit other islands. Caroline and Kevin very welcoming and helpful, they have a lovely garden, quite an unexpected feature on windy Orkney. An... More

We stayed in the Puffin Quoy cottage, the best feature of which is the stunning floor to ceiling windows looking out over the bay and across to some of the islands. The hosts, Caroline & Kevin, were very friendly and incredibly helpful, offering advice on what to see and where to go across Orkney. On one night we also ordered... More

Looking for unexpected, amazing B & B, great hosts, best food on the island, local knowledge, and one of Orkney Islands Calendar Girls (ask), this is your place. The location on the bay, easy access to all of the sites including the World Heritage Neolithic stone sites, this is your place.

We stayed at the Quoys for 5 nights in September 2015 and had a lovely stay. We'd booked the B&B in the main house but were upgraded to The Granary under 'B&B conditions' (i.e. breakfast provided by Caroline) at no extra cost. Heaps of room for us - kitchen, lounge room, dining room and 3 bedrooms with ensuites to chose... More
