We started our Hokkaido holiday from Monbetsu and from there we drove down to Sapporo, stopping at Furano along the way. We stayed a night at this hotel. Hotel is conveniently located near Monbetsu airport, OkhotsuTokkari sea lion center and Marutomi restaurant for their very fresh seafood rice bowl. Staff and service were excellent !

The Monbetsu Prince was a solid hotel, in our experience - friendly and helpful staff, and we slept relatively well. However, it's a hotel that's starts to show its age. From the furniture to the TV-sets and the dining room to the lobby, it's due for an upgrade. Top tip: take a pillow thats sitting on your floor as you...

Hotel was quite old and our room had a bit of a musty smell. The onsen was just basic. Breakfast was quite limited in choice but the Japanese spread was pretty good. We had scallops as part of the breakfast and they were really fresh. Location is good, easy to find if you are driving and quite near to attractions...

Stayed overnight and the hotel was about half an hour drive to the Tulip Park and short distance to Shibazakura pink Moss park.Room was very compact but clean. My wife and I really enjoyed the hotel's Zuwai Crab meal plan for dinner. It was lovely and tasty n the waiter n waitress who served us were very helpful. At night...

stayed here overnight after visiting the Takinoue Shibazakura Park. Monbetsu is a seaside town with a fishing port, enjoyed fresh and delicious seafood dinner in a local eatery. Checked into a twin room with all standard facilities in jp hotel. Onsen was fine with an indoor jacuzzi and a rotenburo. Luckily we had checked in before 5pm as the car...

The room was small but facilities was good. Onsen was okay, a little small I would say. There was not much vacancies in the car park directly outside the hotel. The location is good, with a convenience store just 5 minutes walk away. Good experience!

I admit that this area is not a touristy spot. One have to have a car or join a group tour if you stay in this hotel. I stayed 1 night as i was in a group tour. Hotel was not luxurious but have an onsen and food were fabulous. I had a crab meal dinner. 10 minutes walk to...

The hotel is supposed to be the best in Monbetsu, but it is clearly old and worn out. I was assigned to a smoking room which stank of cigarette smoke (the request was made for non-smoking but the hotel was full). The air purifier in the room was not able to get rid of the cigarette smell and I discovered...

We had a semi-double bed room (hard beds and hard pillows) and despite it being small,it's sufficient enough for us. The room has a nice (partially blocked) view of the sea. Curtains are not block out so sunlight passed through as early as 4.30am. TV has no English channels too unless it's been dubbed(like the news). We tried the onsen...
