It is an old hotel well kept by the family. Rooms were good and clean. Breakfast was good with home made jam and bread. Similar options were far more expensive. There is nothing close, except for the station which is just across the street.

Ok place. Functional. Big enough bedrooms, old style. The building is quite old. Opposite the station. And within walking distance of the centre. The choice of hotels in Monthey seems to be limited; this one seemed to be best (of two?).

I wouldn't recommend staying in this town, as there's nothing to do. The staff at the train station are friendly though. Make sure you check your platform, as it seems all trains leave from the same one.

This hotel is relatively bare bones but the facility is decent and the price is right. They also feature polite service and clean and adequate rooms. The morning breakfast is nothing elegant but is sufficient to get the day started. While it is far from a 5-star facility, the simplicity of this establishment has its own charm. We were visiting...

While the decoration is a little quirky and somewhat tired in the rooms, the service is lovely and the hotel clean. There are numerous types of rooms and room configurations, some a little surprising but not a bother. Breakfast is basic, but adequate, and prices correct for the region and standing.

I'm surprised by the previous reviews. Concerning the fact that the hotel was closed when the other clients arrived, we were aware of that by the owner who gave us the code to enter. Actually, there is no night auditor like in many hotels. Otherwise, I stayed there one week for my work and it was quite pleasant. The room...

Over priced ...... Terrible experience. Hotel locked when we arrived, very basic rooms, screaming on the corridors at night. In the morning breakfast had run out despite arriving with 15 minutes remaining - take a taxi to one of the excellent nearby ski resorts or try the other hotel in Monthey. Once this would have been a very fine railway...

I booked this hotel because it was the only one available in Monthey in the date I wanted (there are only two hotels in Monthey). It is conveniently located next to Monthey railway station (although there are also two rail stations in Monthey but they are both close). The building is old, they claim to be the oldest hotel in...
