My wife and I had a wonderful time in Cucugnan thanks to the Ecurie. Our room had a spectacular view over the valley, was quite, modern as the owner had put in 21st century bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen in a very old building, clean, and comfortable. The owner put on quite a generous breakfast. We had the use of a... More

We recently stayed at this Chambre d'hotes and were pleased to find that nothing had changed from our previous visit 3/4 years ago.The facilities are very good, the welcome fulsome and from our room we had a splendid view of the valley. Joel the owner works in the nearby vineyards so is a busy guy but he gives you the... More

Charming building in the old village, very welcoming hosts. Plenty to do around: Cathare Castles, Tautavel. Good restaurants in the village. Nice breakfasts with local bread. We spent a week in a very nice room, and enjoyed the pool in late afternoons.

This small B&B (with pool) is a wonderful, friendly place. We were family of 5 stopping in Cucugnan for one night as part of a short visit to Carcassonne and Queribus and Peyreptuse. L'Ecurie offers great views of the countryside and vineyards and fantastic breakfast terrace. Our daughters loved the loft bedroom and the apartment style layout (annex above garage)... More

The village is an excellent place to stay the night to visit the two incredible ruined chateaux perched on nearby hilltops, to admire the local scenery and to walk in the area. This B&B seemed a bit pricey for what it offers out of season. When we arrived the place was empty, so we stretched our French quite a long... More

We used l'ecurie de cucugnan as a base for a visit to the local vineyards and our stay here was very good We stayed, with another couple on the trip, in the annex above the garage. This feels very recently finished with everything new and working well. There is also a self contained kitchen making it ideal for families The... More

We stayed here for a weekend wine tour and the winemaker, Katie Jones, organised the booking for us. We had a large double room and private shower in the gite part of the B&B which is attached to the main house. The room was clean and simply decorated, the shower was good and there was a nice view to the... More

We found this place randomly at 8pm without a previous booking (on a weekday in May) and it was a lucky find. The owner was in the house, doing the cleaning after weekend guests, so he kindly showed us around and let us choose one of the 5 rooms of the B&B. Rooms were reasonably sized (next to a double... We stayed here for one night as we toured some of the amazing sights in the area. This is a simple B&B with just the essentials, but a very good value especially since wifi, breakfast and parking were included. Rooms are clean and have a private bathroom.

I enjoyed so much staying at L'écurie de Cucugnan for 3 nights. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, my room was very comfortable, but what makes this place unique is the view: and you can delight in it while you have breakfast on the terrace. Cucugnan's breads are also famous for their quality and the village has got an... More
