We only have eaten here so this is a review of the restaurant, not the hotel. The inside restaurant is really attractive and would be a pleasure to eat in out of season or bad weather. It benign mid July and pleasantly warm we eat on the terrace. The food was very well prepared and nicely presented. The smoked salmon... More

Beautiful and well presented small Logis de France with relaxed and charming management in a charming village in this lovely unspoilt country area. We had a great room well appointed in a modern style with space and every facility for 90 euros/night. fully A/C The Auberge also has an excellent local restaurant with terrace overlooking the valley and great home... The hotel is located in the centre of Cucugnan, a very small village you can walk around in 30 minutes and was very easy to find. We even managed to find parking right outside the hotel! The owner was waiting for us, was very friendly, checked us in with no formalities, showed us the room, switched on the a/c/heater and... More

We only stayed here for 1 night while touring the Cathar castles. Our room was spacious, well equipped and peaceful. I cannot comment on the restaurant as it was closed on the night we stayed which was a shame as from appearances it looked very nice. Breakfast was standard French hotel fare and enough for our needs. A very nice... More

We stayed here for a night. The rooms are modern, clean and well equipped with extremely comfortable beds. Our room had a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. It was surprising to see such a modern hotel in a far off and quaint little village like Cucugnan. We highly recommend this hotel for travellers on the Cathar trail.

The hotel has been totally renewed, the rooms are spacious, very clean and nice. The bathroom follows the new trends and the toilet is totally separated. The restaurant is very good, with a nice presentation and very good food. We do like this place and the friends we toke with us were also more than satisfied.

Very comfortable beds and pillows, well appointed, roomy and clean. 'Mine host' is knowledgeable and generous with time and speaks English. The dining area overlooks vineyards and the food is exceptionally good. Highly recommended

We did not stay at this auberge but only stopped here for lunch after climbing up to the Cathare Chateau Peyerpertuse, and before going on to Chateau Queribus further up the valley. We had an excellent lunch on the shaded terrace overlooking the valley. Following an amuse bouche of ratatouille, my Assiette de Pays was beautifully presented (15€) with smoked... More

We stayed here by chance as Cucgnan is in a quiet valley, off the main road. Glad we did. Others have described it as a restaurant with rooms, and that's true, but what rooms! If you're used to strange shaped, tiny rooms with mysterious plumbing, then this will delight you, as it's modern, spacious, and really quiet. The rooms are... More

From the map this looked like a great location to visit two Cathar castles, and that turned out to be the case. As others have noted, this is foremost a restaurant with rooms available. There must have been some serious remodeling going on, as the smell of fresh paint was still noticeable. We stayed in the room directly above the... More
