Very quite but still near to the center. Close to the beach which has tamarisks and sunloungers. There are bars and nice drinks. It is being cleaned every day. Every appartment has a small kitchen and a private ballcony as well as air conditions. The service ist very polite and couteous and there is a familial atmosphere. They are also helpful regarding for instance rental of cars and motorbikes. There are private parking spaces.
Accommodation is in a very good location, taverns, beach, cafes and taverns very close. Housekeeper very friendly and helpful, supports, beautiful and clean, kitchen well equipped. Rooms were cleaned daily, internet in the room worked flawlessly, at night it was quiet with no noise. Definitely recommend who wants good value accommodation in a good location.
VERY VERY clean. Beautiful. Well located in a beautiful small village with many lovely restaurants. Close to Kimolos as well and ideal for a day trip! And the most important thing... hospitality was amazing... Fragoulis is the perfect host. He gave us a detailed plan about our stay, where to eat, drink, swim... The price was also very reasonable given that it's an expensive island overall. The only con was the small bathroom. However, I do not consider it a problem as we had a cleaner literally every day.
Beautiful rooms within minutes of the beach, restaurants and ferry. Lovely outside space where we had our breakfast each day watching the world go by. Quiet but yet so close to everything. We will be back again.
I loved everything about my stay at Kalimera. The studio apartment was exactly as described. It was bright, exceptionally clean, contemporary, and comfortable. The owners are welcoming and ready to answer any questions or help with whatever you need. They even gave me fresh fruit from their garden and fresh eggs from their hens. The location was minutes walk to amenities and seconds walk to the beach. Tourist information, car rental, and moto rental is right next door. The kitchenette had everything I needed, the bed was comfortable, the décor was lovely, and the WiFi worked well. My stay was very tranquil and I enjoyed beautiful sunsets from my balcony. Exceptional value for money.
We came by ferry to Poolonia and did't book anything. There were no rooms offered at the port, so we went to the tourist information - and they connected us to Kalimera Rooms. We got a 2-bed-apartment with a very spacious terrace. The room was cleaned every day, the bathroom was tiny, but in perfect condition. There was a kitchenette (although we didn't use it), a fridge and engough space to put your stuff without stumbling over it all day. You have to eat outside, inside are no chairs or a table. No breakfast offered. The owner is friendly in a professional way. You don't get a familiar feeling like in other accommodations we stayed in, but nothing to complain about. The view isn't anything special, you just look at a meadow, but the sound is great - if you like the chirring of 100 cicadas. We did :-) The room is open to the north side, so it won't get too hot in there. But the window is small, so the room is a bit dark - but you can leave the door open to let the light in. Well - unfortunatly we couldn't, because during our stay there was a very strong wind from the north (it's called Meltemi-wind) and blew masses of sand through the open door. And it was a bit of a challenge to eat outside because the terrace hasn't any wind protection and we had to watch that out our food was not blown away from the table. The lovely sandy beach is just over the street, the mini market and a few nice restaurants are not more than a five minutes walk away. Pollonia is a small village with beautiful beaches, a tiny little harbour bay and in the evenings you get a breath taking sunset. Not one of the hot spots of Milos - and so it's not that overcrowded by tourists, even in the high season. There are buses from Pollonia to the 2 larger towns of the island, but it's worth to rent a car and get the full view of the beautiful, various landscape of Milos. By the way: The car rental is right beside the apartment.…
I satayed 3 days in Kalimera Rooms. I was very happy to be so near to the beautifull sandy beach of Appolonia ( only 1 minute ) and also very near to the shops and nice tavernas. The studio where i stayed had all the necessary equipment, i cooked sometimes and ate on the balcony, litsening to the the Silence of Nature. I slept really well, far from the city tumult. The rooms owners are all wonderfull people.
Kalimera rooms is an excellent choice for those of you wanting a small, personal place close to the beach (25 metres) and the village centre (50 metres). We had a room with a kitchenette and it is big enough for two extra beds. The bathroom is small but functional and everything is kept really clean by the lovely owner. The balcony/terrace is facing the sunset and also spacious enough for a family of four. Pollonia is a lovely, small and quiet (at least in mid June) village with good restaurants and child friendly beach. The size and the little traffic makes it an ideal place for families. Even the 7-year-old and the 10-year-old could explore the place on their own, which gave them a feeling of freedom and independence. We can highly recommend this place.
This summer three of my friends and I hopped around the greek islands. This was the nicest (and cheapest) room we stayed in. The room was in a quiet location each room had a kitchenette and balcony that looked over to the beach (which was less than 1 minute away from the room - with trees providing nice shade). Also less than 1 minute away were a good selection of tavernas, ferry (that led to kimolos), shops, bakery, travel agent (who arranged ferry tickets for us, but can also arrange trips to kleftiko) and a bus stop. The hospitality from the owners was amazing. We were regularly given free melon from the owners garden, chocolate and water. The owner even picked us up late at night (11pm) from the port. The room was always well cleaned even though we got sand everywhere countless times. I would also recommend taking the ferry across to kimolos it runs almost hourly during the summer and it is a beautiful island.…
