Perfect half board holiday. We had two rooms, one for us and one for our teens. Both were large, warm, and very clean. The views from any window are beautiful. The food was excellent and kept everyone very happy after a day skiing. Ski bus to the resort leaves right outside the hotel. Charlie was an excellent host, welcoming and friendly. Anya and the rest of the staff made our stay great. There is a spa in the hotel which we wish we had made more use of, saunas, relaxing loungers, warm gel relaxation beds. With possibly the best views. We are already looking at booking again for next year.

Perfect hotel for a prefect holiday. Gentle staff and very flexible to help you find a solution to anything that happens. Good food, and easily located in the center with suffcient parking. They just renewed the entire Wi-Fi as well. Cosy rooms with clean bathroom.

We stayed here for a week during July with one toddler. The hotel was family friendly with a playground visible from the outdoor seating area. A beach volleyball court was also available which the little ones used as a giant sandpit. The rooms were clean and with balconies. We stayed half board which was great value and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the 3 course dinners provided with the half board. Breakfast was good and a bike hire shop with great quality bikes for hire was across the road. The walk to the lake was 30mins rather than the 1hr on signposts.

The hotel has reasonable rooms, good food and it is located very close to a bus station.
The fact the administration choose to stop the heating during the night to cut costs when you have outside - 7 degrees Celsius, makes this hotel a real choice only during the summer.
The temperature during the night dropped below 19 degrees Celsius.
Ask about the heating policy before book and pay!!!
We did not ask since we considered the heating it is basic service in this business. Well, in this case it is not.

This hotel is in the right spot. It sits between four easy to travel skiing areas. Saubach/Hinterglem and Kaprun/Sell am See. All really nice places for skiing.
The hotel is very good, help is friendly. Good balance between price and comfort.

From time to time we are in the Zell am See region to meet friends from school and others or simply to have a great time in the picturesque scenery of the Zell am See region. Usually we stay at Schloss Kammer in Maishofen but we stayed also at Gasthof Post for a view nights. What we liked most was the price/performance ratio. It is a nice 3 star standard hotel with a lovely small wellness-area and a swimming pond in the court yard. We did not mind using the stairs, because there is no elevator. We came also for some hiking, so why not hike in the hotel ;-) Another great feature is the lovely food, served either on one of the terrasses or in the nice restaurant. The smaller room of the restaurant is nicer, try to get a spot there. And if you do not want to take the car to Zell am See there is bus line going almost directly in front of the hotel to the city centre of Zell am See. We certainly come back!!!

We were originally booked into another hotel which was very disappointing and we moved after one night to Gasthof Zur Post. We were very happy here and had a wonderful stay. Karl and his team do an exec job on all fronts. The room was spotless and the facilities were great. We hired bikes from Big Time across the road and we could store them at the hotel.
A highlight would be the restaurant on the garden at the back of the hotel. Delicious food and fabulous service.
Thank you Karl and your team for looking after us, we had a super week.

Staying at this lovely hotel in Maishofen, Austria. (23/2 - 01/3/19)
I am a Coach Driver with Earnside Coaches, Perth, Scotland transporting King James School, Knaresborough on there ski trip to Saalbach Hinterglemm ski resort.
The hotel is very nice with friendly owner Charlie (Karl) on hand to assist with any problems. The hotel is centrally located in the small town of Maishofen with good local facilities close by. The food and cuisine is of a very high standard with quick efficient waiting staff and ample quantities for out trip. The hotel has a high standard of cleanliness with beautiful rooms and excellent views. The hotel is ideally placed for visits to Kaprun and Zell am See nearby. Beautiful area and lovely hotel. Recommended.

We were recommended by our host , we were not disappointed, we were greeted by very friendly staff, lots to choose from the menu , my partner choose Austrian roast pork, Saurkraut and dumplings with a very tasty gravy, I had mixed grill of, turkey, beef and pork....fabulous presentation, and very tasty...the only disappointing thing was...We had no room for desserts....very reasonable priced, with complimentary schnapps...we are staying in Zell am See for 8 days and we will definitely be going back.
